HE PONDERED upon the idea for a moment before he shook his head. "No. We cannot take that risk."

"What risk?" I sit up. "She is dead - the most she can do now is rot in hell."

"You think Salvatore will let her rot there alone? Word has been sent that he is out in search of the man who dared to evade his land and kill his lover."

"Candle seized to be his lover." I spit - arms crossed.

Lover? I am his lover. He kicked Candle out of his life and I know he kicked me out too but it was not as bad.

Dad leans into his chair - an amused smile at the corner of his lips. "Yes - She seized to be his lover but never his love Carina. Accept it."

"I do not want to!"

"Oh? How about we make a deal shall we?"

"I do not want to." I repeat and look the other side.

"Even if it involves Salvatore?" He questions. That does it. I look to him before he continues - a smile on his face. "I will let Salvatore know that You are here under the condition that You confess to the murder of Candle and Natalia."

"For what reason should I confess to a crime I did not commit?" I turn to the other side once more.

"For freedom." Dad responds. "Does it even matter?"

"It matters to me." I respond.

"More than freedom?"I ponder it for a split second. He is my father after all - what is the worst he could do to me than keep me locked up here?

I want out of this mess. I want Salvatore. And this could be an easier escape. If Salvatore knows that I am here - he will come rescue me. I know it. And with Candle dead - we can be TOGETHER once and for all.

The idea bubbles me up with hope. I then turn to dad and respond. "Fine. I will confess to the crime."

"Good." He smiles before he calls for one of his men. "Give me the phone. Make the confession realistic as if YOU were in a conversation with a friend."

I soothe the loose curls of hair down before I let out a breath and smile. He is handed a phone before he points it at me.

When the Flash of the phone is lit - I know that it is showtime -

"Candle was such a bitch. On top of that she would not leave Salvatore alone. So of course I had to kill her. It is what she deserved.

And Natalia? That bitch stole EVERYTHING from me. It is even the reason I put those razors in her shoes and it is also the reason I killed her." I end before the Flash of the phone turns off.

"Bravo Carina. We should have taken YOU TO ACTING SCHOOL instead of ballet school." He chuckles. "As promised - we shall call Salvatore now."

He taps on his phone screen before the phone beeps. It does that for a moment before a voice comes out the other end. "Pronto."

Salvatore. I open up to scream but a man places his hand over me. Salvatore speaks once more. "Who is this?"

"Who I am does not matter. But who I have matters. Does the name 'Carina' sound familiar?" Dad questions in response.

"Leave her alone!" He shouts into the speaker.

"Oh? She is mine now. Not so Carina?"

That is when the man drops his hand from me. I scream - "Mexico. I am on a plane to Mexico -"

That is when the man puts his hand on me once more. Father chuckles - "Find us at the airport before it is too late Salvatore."

"Do not touch her." He screams. "I WILL PAY YOU ANY AMOUNT."

Father chuckles once more. "I do not want your money, boy. Your money cannot bring back what your family took from me. You and everyone you love are going to pay."
