Chapter 2

Y/n's POV
After the assembly we all walked our seperate ways to class. Eventually lunched rolled around and as I was walking out of class a hand interwinded with mine. I eventually was spun around facing the one and only Brian. I giggled and fixed my hair. "So we are going to go eat correct?" he asked staring at my face.
"Yea, of course. Are the rest going to come as well?" I asked smiling walking with Brian's hand still in mine towards the car. I smiled to the fact that he didn't let go. He walked looking at his phone probably texting the group.
"Actually, I was thinking that we would just go by ourselves." Brian said with a blush creeping up his face. Before I could answer I was spun in front of him once again my hair covering my face. "Is that alright?" he asked with a tone of him clearly nervous with my answer. I just nodded and smiled wide. Trying to hide that I was very nervous into the car as Brian said he was taking me to a surprise. I just hope it doesn't involve me skipping class again.
"Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" I asked repeating myself. Brian just laughed and playfully rolled his eyes.
"You're annoying you know that?" He said paying attention to the road. I nodded and silently giggled. "Yet, you're cute when you're annoying" Brian wispered something else but I guess in the intention of me not hearing but I did anyways. I started blushing as did he when he noticed I heard. We just jammed out the rest of the ride there. We eventually got there and I looked at him and rolled my eyes.
"Really McDonald's that's my surprise?" I said laughing while he drove through the drive through. "Wow we cant even go inside" I said laughing at him once again.
"This isnt the surprise just quickly getting food before we go to the surprise." He smiled secretly. I looked at him in shock. "So I'm guessing that I'm gonna have to miss next period?" i asked punching his shoulder. "Yea, it's just one period Y/n you'll live" I smiled knowing that I had a free period regardless I just like playing with him.

We eventually got to my surprise and Brian said that I have to cover my eyes. I covered my eyes as he guided me. We were at a cliff a special cliff that held a amazing spot in my heart. It was the cliff where Brian promised to always be my best friend. The cliff was beautiful during this time of day. I rarely saw this as I was always at school. I turned to Brian and hugged him. "Why are we here Brian?" I asked smiling at him crazy. "I just thought maybe we could hang out here for a bit as this is where it all started plus we haven't been here a while." Brian said smiling. We ended up just talking and eating in his car. I looked out to look at the small town right in front of us. "Thank you Brian." I said still looking at the view. "For what Y/n?" He responded looking at me. "For everything....for always cheering me up....making me smile....facetiming me after a nighmare so I won't be sad......for always being there for me." I said finally looking him and smiling. Brian just smiled and said "I will always be here for you no matter what". We finally noticed how close we were and decided to close the gap. Brian was kissing me as our lips were in sync. We both smiled into the kiss as well butterflies grew in my stomach.

Brian's POV
I'm finally doing it! I'm kissing Y/n! Oh my god. she's so amazing! With her (e/c), (h/l) (h/c), and not to mention her amazing smile. I loved her I've always have. Finally we both pulled back blushing crazy. She giggled and leaned back on her seat. At the same time we both thought something THE GROUP. "Brian.." she started. I interrupted her and finished her sentence. "...the group" I said as my smile faded. We both looked at each other. "Our little secret?" I said smiling. "Our little secret" she said smiling. I quickly kissed her cheek before sitting down to properly to drive. Even though she isn't my girlfriend she will always be mine.
We finally got back to school just in time of passing period of the last period of the day. We snuck back in and eventually parting ways. I walked into my last period smiling as if cupid hit me with a love arrow. Smitty saw me and gave me a confused look as I sat down. "What's up with you Brian" Smitty said looking at me. "Oh nothing just excited for the upcoming game" I said clearly lying yet he didn't noticed. "So am I...I just really want to know who we play." he said trying to pay attention to the class. Yea, I wanted to know as well as our school didn't let us know until the revealing assembly Wednesday. "Who ever it is I'm pretty sure we got them" I said smiling and writing down the rest of the notes.
The rest of the class went smoothly. Smitty and I talked time to time but payed attention. The final bell rang and Smitty and I walked out heading to the locker room for practice. I noticed Hope and Y/n splitting as Hope left the school and Y/n walking to her locker. "Hey Smitty I'll catch up I forgot something in 5th period". He said alright as I walked to go catch up with Y/n. When reaching her locker I wrapped my arms around her waist lightly kissing her cheek as she giggled. "Brian get off what if someone sees" she said smiling turning around. I smiled and quickly gave her a peck on the lips laughing as I noticed her blushing. "Don't you have practice lover boy" she smiled at the nickname she gave me. "Yea but I just thought I would pop in to say good bye" I said scratching the back of my neck. "Well goodbye Brian. Talk to you after practice?" she said walking away. "Goodbye Y/n." I said smiling walking to practice.

Y/n's POV
I walked to my mom's car as she was picking me up. "Hello sweetie , how was your day?" she asked driving away from the school. I answered her saying it was alright. We eventually made it home but my mom said she was only dropping me off as she had another shift and wasn't going to get home till late. I said alright and walked in going to my room and jumping on my bed. I looked around and wondered what I should do. Hmmm I should do homework.
I eventually did that till I saw it was late. I was about to fall asleep till I received a text from Hope.

(Hope & Y- You)

Hope- I forgot to ask where were you today lunch and fifth period.

Y- I was hanging out with Brian we went to go eat and lost track of time.

Hope- Wow you got food without me. I'm hurt.

Y- I'll buy you food tmr.

Hope- So what happened when you guys went to eat huh?

Y- Nothing happened. You already know this Brian and I are just friends.
Y- Nothing will happen and I'm alright with that.

Hope- Sure. Oh great I have to go. Text you later.

I laughed at Hope she always got a feeling that Brian and I had a thing. Even though I wanted to, we couldn't.....well we could just that he wouldn't ask me. What are we? Together. Friends. Secretly together. I don't even know. I eventually fell asleep with that on my mind.
