Chapter Twenty Two

Bella's POV

It's been a month since the Cullens came to Denali. We have thought out a strategy and now are in the Cullens old house. Oh and good new Carmen and Eleazar came back so they can help us with the army.

"Okay is everyone ready?" Tanya asked and I pouted. "Bells you have to sit out of the fight we have to draw Victoria out."

"Tanya I don't like this I don't like all 4 of my mates..." I turned to Rose, "yes I mean 4 you are included denial or not..." I turned back to Tanya, "out on the battlefield with me not in running distance."

Kate wrapped her arm around me, "Bella baby I promise we are all good we are in fighting shape and if Rosalie needs help we will help her same with any of the Cullens but we need you away from the fight."

I huffed, "no I can't do it... I will never forgive myself if any of you got hurt because of me."

Kate sighed, "Bella..." I looked up at her, "you are our one weakness and you can't fight that well as us... we need you away from the battle so we can focus."

I whimpered and she lend down and softly kissed me. She pulled back, "we need you to stick with Carmen away from the fight hopefully you'll draw Victoria out."

"Fine but if you die on me Kate Denali I'm going to bring your ashes back to life then kill you myself... same goes for the rest of you."

"We'll make sure she doesn't do anything too reckless," Alice smiled and pulled me into a hug.

I hugged the pixie back, "you too please be careful." She nod and we all left the Cullen house and went to the field Alice for the fight in.

"Bella I've known those girls for longer then you've been alive I promise they will be fine Eleazar too." I nod, "okay Carmen but how do you do it?"

Her smile flattered, "well you can't stop them when they get their mind set to something so best thing to do is just let it happen and try to protect when you can."

We got the tent set up and now are inside playing poker, "Carmen?" She looked to me, "yeah Bella?" I looked down at my necklace that holds the coven's crest.

"I miss them..." she nod, "I know it has been 30 years since I haven't had Eleazar hold me during the night." I nod, "I'm sorry all this war is because of me."

Carmen put her cards down, "Bella I know I'm not Tanya, Irina or Kate but I can hold you for tonight I'm sure they wouldn't mind."

I looked up and nod, "yes please." I felt pathetic as Carmen held me but it felt nice, "mi hija." I purred and she held me closer, "I promise to protect you mi hija."

I relaxed as Carmen played with my hair. "In the morning it will all be over."
