The all knowing

Chapter Four

After getting the information they needed from undertaker, they dropped me in town with quite a bit of money and told me I can buy some clothes of my liking before leaving to do more investigating, they said they would come back to get me. Obviously I had no idea where I was or how the currency value worked so I kind of just wandered around town for a really long time, it was all surreal for me, it's like I travelled back in time instead of a different dimension. I began to get bored walking around and walked into a small bakery, inhaling the sweet smell of fresh bread and baked goodies. I look at my option and decide on a apple pastry

"What will it be?" I short plump woman asked with a smile

"One apple pastry please" I replied, she nodded and began to wrap up my order, I just grabbed a note from my pocket and placed it on the counter, she gave me the apple pastry and took the note

"perfect change, thank you for coming" she smiled and went to put the money away. Now that was just plain luck, I grab the pastry and put it in my pocket before walking out, while walking around I notice a ladder on the side of a tall building

"Well I have nothing better to do" I sighed while stepping up the ladder, it's not like Sebastian won't be able to find me, I feel bad for being a nuisance but it could be a lot worse, I could have used all my information against them but for obvious reasons I would never. They don't know me but they mean so much to me, they helped me through some rough patches

God I'm getting tired now, I look up and notice I'm almost there, I sigh in relief pulling myself onto the rooftop and pat my dress down, the view was awesome I could see all the bustle of the people below me but not have to be apart of it. I sit down and swing my legs over the ledge and pull out the apple pastry, taking a big bite out of it, it was really good so I continued to eat it while watching over the town, what a nice way to spend the afternoon

A little pain starts to develop on my back from sitting up for too long so I close my eyes and lay down, so much has happened in the past day, I haven't had a proper chance to just sit down and process everything. Being here makes me wonder if I even want to go home, it's only been a day so it's too soon to tell but the 24 hours I've been here have made me more happy than the past 17 years in my real world

"Well hello darling, long time no see" I bolt right up and turn around to see a familiar red head

"how did you know it was me?" I asked, standing up while patting the dirt of my dress, this thing really gets on my nerves, i've never been one for dresses

"oh please I could spot your hair from a mile away, though I still don't know your name" Grell smiles

"My name is Shelby malora" I smiled

"Ahh what a beautiful name" She smiled while placing a hand on her hip, I smiled back but quickly stopped when I could feel the pain in my back again but of course shrugged it off. I looked at Grell's clothing and realized she could help me with my clothing situation

"Hey Grell, can I ask you a favour?" I asked walking up to her with a smile

"Depends, what do you need? I'm afraid I can't kill anyone for you, Will took away my death sythe" She pouts while pulling out two pairs of scissors

"I don't want you to kill anyone don't worry, I need you to help me with clothes shopping, and in return for your services, i'll give you the red jacket I was wearing yesterday" I smirked, she can't resist anything red

Grell jumped with excitement and ran over to me, engulfing me in a bone crushing hug

"Yes! yes! yes! I'll do it! come, we have no time to lose! oh this is so exciting!" She smiled while letting go of me, she ran to the edge of the building ready to jump onto another roof before I yelled out and stopped her
