Undertaker p.o.v

Shelby was definitely different from other women, in a good way obviously. She was funny and kind but I knew she was hiding something, I always know when someone is hiding something. It didn't seem to be anything sinister which just fuelled my curiosity to no end, how can someone so pure be involved with the most heart-blackening work there is out there.

She was quite beautiful, any one who had met her would say the same, her smooth olive skin looked so delicate and clean and her hazel brown eyes held so much wonder and knowledge, I bet they looked like a pool of honey in the sun. She also happened to be the only person who didn't find me or my antics strange, she was actually quite strange herself. She didn't dress like other women nor did she talk like them, she wasn't afraid to be herself and that made her so fascinating

I had never been so fascinated with a human before, but the day she walked in with the earl she instantly caught my eye. I had never seen her or heard anything of her yet she seemed to be close with lord Phantomhive. She also happens to know that I'm a reaper, that one caught me off guard, I will admit. I hadn't been called that in so long and the fact that she knows makes me wonder if she knows Sebastian is a demon

I was broken out of my train of thought when I heard her all to familiar voice

"Undertaker!" Had it been any quieter, I wouldn't of heard her, I quickly grab my death scythe before bolting out the door. I jump on the roof and follow the scent of blood that was now invading my nose, I push myself to run faster in hopes of reaching Shelby before it's too late. I saw a few shadows on a roof up ahead and ran full speed ahead, I quickly notice that it's Sebastian fighting off a few other men, but something was off, they were moving faster and seemed a bit too strong for the average human. Sebastian had a wound on his shoulder and a few cuts and rips in his clothes but other than that he seemed fine. He noticed me from the corner of his eyes and yelled out

"Get to Shelby!" I don't even nod before continuing forward, two of the strange creatures ran straight for me but I quickly jumped slicing through them with ease. I see a figure up ahead and notice that it's Shelby. More creatures ran for her but I quickly stopped them, raising my scythe and cutting them down one by one

She was on the ground passed out, a weapon in hand but that didn't surprise me, what surprised me was the pair of wings that were sprouted out of her back along with her highly damaged body. There were dead bodies of some of those creatures surrounding her, I pick her up, taking my hat off and pressing my ear to her chest, checking for a heart beat, I waited a few moments, worry beginning to consume my body but I finally heard a beat, it was faint but it was there. I let out a sigh of relief before picking her up gently, making sure not to hurt her already injured wing

"How is she?" I heard Sebastian's voice, I quickly pick up my scythe, placing it on my back before grabbing her double-headed spear pressing the button in the middle, making it retract

"I'm taking her back to the parlour, she needs medical attention" I say before jumping onto the roof of a building and running back towards the parlour, I didn't hear any foot steps meaning Sebastian wasn't following me. I hope he cleans that mess up, I could already see the headlines in the paper

I jump to the street and run inside the parlour, locking the door behind me. I gently place her on the counter before running off to get a sewing needle and thread, a bowl of water, a few clean clothes, disinfectant an some bandages. At least she was knocked out, this would hurt a lot more if she was conscious

"You did good little one" I chuckle lightly

I carefully lift her shirt exposing the stab wound on her side, it was quite deep which worried me, there were also dark purple and blue bruises on her ribs which led me to believe that a few of them may be fractured but I continued to work trying not to let my nerves get the best of me. The bleeding had stopped my now, so I started cleaning it with the warm water, being as gentle as I could. After I was done I disinfected the wound so it wouldn't get infected then started stitching it up. I placed a clean cloth over the stitches before I wrapped a bandage around it tightly so it would stay in place before moving on to her wing

I did the same to her wings as I did to her arm, I continued to clean any blood splatters from her face and hands, even like this she looked beautiful, I chuckle lowly to myself. Who would have known that I would come to care about a human in such little time. Her clothes looked really uncomfortable to sleep in so after a lot of debating, I decided to change her, I took of her boots and socks and placed them behind the counter. I ran into my room and retuned with another one of my robes and cut a hole into the back of it and placed it over her, carefully pulling her injured wing through the hole. I take her pants off while turning my head away, trying to to invade her privacy to the best of my ability. I quickly did the same with her shirt and discarded the ruined clothes into the trash, I place my robe around her body and as gently as I could, I picked her up bridal style off the counter and carried her down the hall to my room. I placed her in my coffin and pulled a blanket over her sleeping figure.

I slump down in a chair in the corner of the room, not once removing my gaze from her. How did she survive that long with a hole in her side, she should have died from blood loss in minutes as soon as she took the object out. I wasn't complaining but it was unusual, she also had wings, human's don't have wings so she was obviously supernatural but how? Angels have white wings not ones that are hawk patterned. I also wanted to know about those creatures, they looked human but were stronger and faster but not enough to be characterised as a demon or any super natural being

I grip the bridge of my nose tightly, none of this made any sense,  I wasn't the type of person to be kept out of the loop so this was a new feeling for me. I hope she could do some explaining for me when she woke up
