Marcie walked over to the window. Looking out the man had disappeared. Like he was never actually there.
"Kaleb are you sure it was the man. If you kids are lying about him coming back we are going to have serious problems."
"Marcie listen to me a second. I wouldn't lie to you. The three of us all saw him. He may not want you to see him, because if you do you will call the authorities, and I don't think he wants to be caught. Maybe he means to scare us, to only harm us mentally."
"I swear to God, if he touches a hair on your heads, I will have him six feet under with in weeks. If he even so much as tries to get in here, he won't even get a foot in the door. He needs to stop testing my motherly instincts, because I will harm him, if he harms or tries to harm the three of you."
"I know you will." Kaleb stated suddenly.
"I'm going to run to the store, do any of you need anything specific?" Marcie was being a typical mother her voice trembled when she speaks about the store, leaving us here with that man out there somewhere.
"Can you get some junk food. All that we have here if organic healthy stuff. I'll give you some money." I held out my hand, and handed Marcie a twenty. "Here, take this, and you can pay for our stuff separately
"I don't want your money." She stated bluntly. Then shoved it back at me.
"Well we need pull ups for Jacob as well. And to be completely honest I'm going to need a box of tampons and some pads." I shoved the money back at her.
"Okay. Fine. All of you behave I'll be back shortly." Marcie mumbled as she walked out the door.
