Jongho our precious Maknae

Jongho and Yunho episode

Third pov:

Jongho usually prefered to be alone. He was used to being by himself and didn't really bother much when his hyungs were being affectionate with each other. Infact he hated affection. He'd scream or show visible discomfort when either hugged or kissed... especially kisses.

But that's anyway what alot of people see most of the time. Even though Jongho hated getting affection from others, he did love getting some of their attention. Especially when he talks and when his hyungs complimented him. When ever his hyungs praised him for his singing, or when they'd ask him to break an apple for the hundredth time, and when he did they'd cheer for him and scream. Jongho loved that.

However recently Jongho has been feeling left out quite alot. Ever since that one vLive where only the 1999 members talked with the fans, the two oldest hyungs, Seungwha and Hoongjong jokingly formed the 98' liners with just the two of em. This became a reoccurring joke within the group.

Jongho usually didn't mind this but today as they made that joke, jongho started to feel pretty left out. Being the youngest of the group and on top of that being the only one born in 2k, he started to think that his hyungs made that inside joke cause they knew that he wouldn't be able to laugh at it as he fit in neither years.

Just as the group finish practicing the choreography for their next comeback The 99'liners make the same joke again and start a cute fight against the 98'Liners and they all playfully argue while poor Jongho ends up just watching from the side. He has enough and quickly excuses himself from the banter and leaves the room.

Yunho's pov:

After Jongho abruptly leaves the room all of us turn silent.

"What's gotten into him?" Wooyoung giggles as he looks at the door where Jongho just left from. "He didn't even tell us where he went.

"Maybe he went to the bathroom?" San interjected.

I then call out to Hoongjong hyung "Hyung should i go check on Jongho? He didn't look too well just now."

"Sure Yunho, if he isn't well do take him home and text me, we'll finish up here in the meantime."

As soon as he says that i then take my phone and head outside looking for the maknae, something has been nagging him all day and it is worring me.

I then see Jongho exiting the washroom and then i call out to him while jogging."

"Jongho there you are! I was looking for you..."
As i get a closer look at him i notice that his eyes are puffy and red as if he's been crying.

"Jongho...are you alright?"

"I-I'm fine hyung just got something in my eye."

"Jongho that is some bull, something is clearly bothering you just tell me what it is."

"Hyung no seriously I'm fine go back to the others or something, I'll join you later."

At that moment i take up my phone and text our leader that I'm taking Jongho home and as i do that jongho then asks me what I'm doing.

"I'm taking you home now, hyung gave me permission to take you."

"Yunho-ah, oh my god i said I'm fine I'm not a baby! I can do whatever i want! I don't have to be babied around!!"

"Jongho! Watch your tone!" I raise my voice at him very annoyed, the younger has never really had an outburst with any of us. He's usually very calm and lovable. Something is definitely on his mind but as of right now, i need to calm down, I don't want to hurt him.

I then take a deep breath. I've already sent the message to hyung but i know they'll take a while. After i sigh i then give a tiny smile to Jongho and give him my hand, "Jongho... we're both tired and i can feel that something is really bothering you, if you want we can talk about it at home after you take a shower... please do listen to me, your hyungs care about you and we don't want to see you hurt yourself, so please do come with me." I then stretch out my hand even furthur hoping that he takes it.

After a minute Jongho seems to calm down as well and he takes my hand as he murmurs a tiny "ok hyung". I smile and then we both walk out of the studio and then walk home. We reach at about 11:30 pm and I make sure Jongho takes his shower. Just as he comes out, i get a text from the hyungs saying that they'll be back in another fifteen minutes as they're getting some snacks for us.

"Hey hyung...I'm sorry."

I look at jongho who just came out of the shower and is already in his pyjamas.

"It's alright Jongho, everyone has those days sometimes. I'm sorry for raising my voice at you too. But please do tell me, is something or anyone bothering you? Is School going ok? I know being a 19 year old student and an idol is tough but if anything is bothering you please do tell us. We're here for you." I give him my usual smile as i say that.

Wait are those tears? Oh shit he's crying-

I run upto him try to wipe away his tears as i try to calm him down. But he doesn't seem to stop anytime soon. He then starts talking as he's crying.

"I've been feeling sniff left out so much ever since you all started the age joke thing  hiccups it's like you purposefully made cause ya'll knew that i couldn't group up with anyone my age. Sniff
Hyung I'm sorry if i did something wrong, please I'm sorry-"

I felt so hurt as he said that. God i didn't see how hurt he has been feeling from all this. I should really talk with the others about this when they get home.

I then hug him very tightly.

"Shh, baby it's ok, I'm sorry we didn't see what we were doing, it's ok, let it out, I'm sorry."

I keep repeating these as he cries. He slowly calms downs and i then break off the hug to get him a glass of water. He gulps it down and then i take him to bed. As i lay a blanket on him i then make sure he falls asleep which he does soon enough.

I switch off the lights and then close the door.  I make a promise to myself that I'll always watch over Jongho and make sure that he doesn't feel left out much when all of us are together.
