Chapter Eight

Katyln's P.O.V.
About a month later things between me and Bryan started getting really bad. We fought a lot of the time about stupid things. He said I was cheating on him with a popular kid at school, which I wasn't. I would never treat Bryan like that, but he doesn't want to believe me. I could it stand it anymore, this was too much stress on me. Bryan and I fighting made my eating habits bad, my grades bad, and my health even worse. I shouldn't be stressing this much because of him. I decided I had to break up with him. I still like him, but this is too much stress on me, and since the ECA's are coming up I need to study and worry about the test, not about relationship problems with Bryan. I looked through the hallways trying to find Bryan, then I finally spotted him, I wish I wouldn't have though. There I saw him by his locker making out with Jessica Martinez. This broke my heart so much. He didn't like me anymore, maybe he never did.
Bryan saw me and broke from his kiss with Jessica. I felt my eyes stinging. "I'm sorry Katlyn," was all he said.
"Sorry about what?" I said.
"Sorry for cheating on you."
"Sure you are, all you wanted to go was play games with my heart."
"No, I actually liked you."
"Exactly, LIKED me. Now you don't."
"I really liked you Bryan, maybe even loved you, but this is how you replay me for dropping things that I needed to do to come and help you with stuff you need help with."
"Katlyn I didn't mean to."
"Sure you didn't, and now it's over. Don't ever call me, text me, or even speak to me ever again. Ok?"
"Yes, but I'm-"
"I don't care anymore, I knew this was a bad idea," I said as I walked away. My eyes were watering. I didn't know what to do, so I just started to walk home. Mom and Dad weren't home, and today I remembered a key so it's ok for me to go home and not get in trouble.

Justin's P.O.V.
I wonder where Katyln is, I saw her in first hour, but I didn't see her in gym. Then I went to the person where she might know where Katyln is, it was Taylor Katyln's best friends.
"Do you know where Katyln is, I haven't seen her since the end of first hour," I said.
"I don't know, but she did come to school today," she replied.
"Oh, do you think you could find out?"
"Why are you worried about her all of a sudden?"
"She is my friend, why wouldn't I be worried?"
"Let me text her."
"Ok." She quickly got out her phone and texted Katyln, her phone made a ding sound right away.
"Uh oh," said Taylor.
"What?" I asked.
"Katyln saw Bryan and Jessica kissing in the hallway. She was so upset that she decided to walk home. She is already at home though. She also said that her and Bryan broke up."
That made my heart pound. I am going to hurt someone and really bad too. No one messes with my Katyln like that. Wait, did I just say my Katyln? Anyway, I am so mad at Bryan.
I looked for Bryan and there I saw him in the hallway talking to Tony. Bryan was about to say hey, but my fist already collided with his face. With my luck there was a teacher in the hallway and they escorted me, Bryan, and Tony to the principals office.
Tony told Mrs. Carol what he had witnessed, after that she dismissed him. Bryan knew I was mad at something he did, but he didn't know what.
"Why did you punch Bryan?" Mrs. Carol asked. I knew I couldn't tell anyone the truth of why I punched Bryan, so I just shrugged. I could tell she mad at that. She told me I was suspended for three days or more. She didn't decide, but she said she will call my mom tonight to tell her. Bryan has a detention for today and that's it, but I didn't care. At least I got to punch him in his face for doing something terrible to Katyln. Mrs. Carol told us we were dismissed and told me to go home.
I walked out to the parking lot with my book bag filled with my homework for tonight. I probably am not going to do it anyway. I got into my car and drove to my house. When I got inside there was a note on the table.

Dear Justin,
I have to work all day today, so I wont see you for a while. There is a snack for you on the table, and I left some money on the kitchen table for you to order something from somewhere.

I went up to my room. Once I got in my room, I looked through my window to see if Katyln was there but she wasn't. I wonder where she could be.
