The house - Sam enters in joyfully, happy to return home.
Samantha:
I'm home! Charlie? Kids? I'm back! Hello? Anyone?
Silence. Nothing. Not a peep. She then shuts the door, dropping her luggage down before we see her explore the house as we only see her at the door frames of the rooms without seeing the contests inside; the lounge, then the kitchen with its dining room – with the open door indicating the worst she feared as her eyes lit up. She rushes out to it and when out, she stops for a moment.
CHARLIE? BECCA? FRASER? KIDS?
She hurries up the garden before ascending onto Bodmin Moor, entering the blazing, spooky fog swirling and swirling across the entire Moor. She halts for a moment scanning the gloomy and grave smoke around her, intoxicating Sam. She searches hard, squinting in the fog. She then takes a few steps forward, frightened by the fog around her. SPLASH! She falls into the bog herself! She screams, terrified! She too fails to drag herself out before she slowly sinks into the bog to join the rest of her family. Screaming and kicking and drowning.
CHARLIE! CHARLIE! HELP ME! HELP ME! CHARLIE! CHARLIE! ARRGGHHHH!!!!!
She was left up to her chest, then her neck, her head, until – nothing. Her left hand reaching out as it tenses sharply to try to get herself out before she is left to sink to the bottom to drown. Her tense arm is all that is left to slip down. The mud consumes her, churning and digesting her, waving after she slurped into it. SLOMP! Once the mud stabilized, we see the black shoes of a man standing over the marsh, as we are revealed who he is to be – Captain Black! The two green Mysteron rings slide over creepily. A few moments later, a green haze begins flashing the other side of the bog in front of Captain Black, before moments later the reconstructed Mysteronised Samantha is complete. Her eyes glow green as the dangerously sinister Mysteron theme plays over.
Captain Black:
You know what you must do.
Her eyes shine bright in green, highlighting her as the Mysteron, ready to fulfil the Mysterons' next target.
DUM DUN DUM DUM DUN DUM DUN...
