The Clashing of Worlds Book 1: Demigods and Ghouls

Chapter 1

Kaneki's POV

Kaneki had moved to New York a few months ago and he had gotten used to it for the most part.  He had a job at a coffee shop down a few blocks down from his apartment where he lived with his neighbor Mrs. Jackson.  She's a very nice woman, and very beautiful too, as well as kind. 

But as everyone knows, you can't sit around all day making a monologue of your life. ( Unless you're me of course😁) It was time for Kaneki to get up and start the day.  He got out of bed and brushed his teeth while the shower warmed up for him.  He only eats just the bare minimum to survive as a ghoul so there are times when his hunger is a pain. 

After he finished his shower and had gotten dressed, Kaneki was off to work.  As he walked to the café where he worked he thought to himself.  "I wonder if the Doves will find me here.  I know that it's pretty far from Japan but still, I want to make sure that Touka and Hinami will be safe." 

As the white haired boy was lost in thought, he didn't notice that he was about to run into someone. *BAM!*. "Ah! I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention to where I was waking, I'm really sorry Perseus! Wait, why did I say that? I don't even know his name!" Kaneki continued to ramble apologies until the person he ran into spoke up.

"Hey, no worries man. It's cool."

"Even so, may I offer you a drink to apologize?"

"It's fine, really. Just pay more attention to where you're waking ok?"

"Of course, I'm sorry again." After apologizing a final time, Kaneki ran off to the Café. He's never been tardy before and he won't start now.
Percy POV
After his little meeting with Kaneki, Percy took a taxi to camp to meet up with Annabeth.  Apparently there was a new camper she wanted to introduce to him.

                             ~At Camp~

"Hey Annabeth! What's up?"

"Oh hey Percy, I was just showing the new guy around.  Hey, come introduce yourself."  The new camper had yellowish blonde hair and soft brown eyes. And maybe a stupid grin in his face. 

"Hey, what's up? Name's Hideyoshi Nagachika."
( I hope I spelled that right). 
"Hey man, my name's Percy. Has wise girl showed you anything besides the books yet?"

"Hell yeah! I can't wait to try the lava wall!"

"Hey Annabeth has he met Rachel yet?"

"Hey who's Rachel?  Can I meet her? Can I can I can I?"

"Fine fine.  I was just about to introduce you anyway.  You know you can be even more annoying than seaweed brain sometimes."

"It's a gift that few people posses."  The trio then walked down to Rachel's cave and pulled open the curtain.
"Hello? Anyone home?"  Suddenly, a girl with bright red hair with a black shawl, came out of the corner of the cave. 

"Hi, my name is Rachel, nice to meet you."

"*Gasp* Did you predict that we were coming here?" Hide, exclaims excitedly.

"Shhh, don't blow my cover." Rachel winks at Hide.

"Hey Annabeth, can I talk to you for a sec?"

"Uhh, sure why not." Percy pulls Annabeth to the edge of the cave, close enough to Hide and Rachel, but still out of earshot.
