The Clashing of Worlds Book 1: Demigods and Ghouls

Chapter 4

                                  ~Recap~
He began looking for a taxi, Percy felt something whizz by him. He looked down at his feet and saw what looked like a reddish purple spike. But when he turned to see where it came from, all he saw was, a white rabbit.

                               ~Present~
It wasn't an actual rabbit of course.  It looked sort of like a mask, showing just enough to know it was there.  Percy could see the edges of the mask in a tree that was a few feet ahead of him.  He then heard a voice, a female voice,  coming from the mask.

"Where is Kaneki?" Percy tightened his guard when he heard Kaneki's name.  After hearing part of his backstory, he knew that he should have his guard up in case this person was like Kaneki.

"Why should I tell you?"  The voice responded, seething with venom. 

"I've known Kaneki for much longer than you have.  I've known he was living here as soon as he moved from Japan.  And now I see someone just waltzing into his home and taking his things.  It's only right for me to be suspicious.  So I'll ask you again.  Where.  Is. Kaneki?" 

Percy considered her argument.  If he showed her to where Kaneki was, there was the chance she was just wondering where she was.  On the other hand, she could be lying and actually be an enemy trying to kill him.  He decided to get what information he could out of her.

"I know Kaneki.  I was sent here to pick up some things for him.  But the real question is, how do I know that you're not an enemy of me or Kaneki?"

"Simple.  I'm the same creature as Kaneki."  After a couple seconds of silence, Percy eventually agreed.

"Follow me, I'll take you to him."

Annabeth was getting a little worried.  Percy was taking too long.  She was pacing back and forth on the hill, waiting for Percy to turn up.  Soon, she heard that annoying voice she'd come to know and love.

"HEY, WISE GIRL!  GET KANEKI DOWN HERE!  THERE'S SOMEONE HERE TO SEE HIM!"  Someone here to see Kaneki?  Something doesn't seem right.  But Percy seemed to trust this person.  Somewhat.

"Kaneki!"  Kaneki ran over panting with Hide trailing behind him.

"Yes, *pant* Anna*pant* beth? *pant*"

"Oh, sorry about that but, Percy is back with your stuff.  And he says someone's here to see you."  Kaneki gave Annabeth a look of confusion. 

"But, I didn't tell anyone I was moving here.  At least, not any enemies."  Kaneki began walking down to where Percy and the girl was.  When he saw them, he gave them a wave to signal them that he was there, the ran down to meet them.

"There he is," Percy stated. "are you happy now?" 

"Kaneki look down at the persons face and was met with a familiar white rabbit mask.

"So, this is where you've been hiding." After he recognized the person, Kaneki dropped his guard and let a small smile slip.

"Guilty as charged." The girl then took off her mask to reveal short, violet hair covering one side of her face.  "Ms Touka Kirishima."  Touka lightly punched Kaneki in the shoulder.

"So, can I stay for a while? Catch up you know?"  Kaneki looked to Percy for permission, and he gave a light shrug.

"I guess it's cool.  Oh!  Did you know that Hide's here too?  So you can see him again too."

"Ah yes.  I remember him all too well.  He tried to hit on me when he thought I was the girl you said you had a crush on."

"H-hey! I didn't really have a crush on Rize! I just thought she was kinda cute." Kaneki mumbles the last of his sentence out of embarrassment. The idea that Kaneki used to like Rize seemed almost impossible for o him now. After learning what she was, her spirit would torture him nonstop. She made him do things he never would've thought of doing before.

Kaneki and Touka began walking towards Hide, still deep in conversation. Still unnoticed, Hide had to literally yell in their face just so they could pay attention to him.

"Hello! Hi! I have some amazing news to share with you! Did you know that I exist? I know! Crazy right?" Kaneki blushes and looked down at his feet.

"Ah! Sorry, we were just catching up you know? It's been a while." Hide rolled his eyes and laughed.

"Yes, some more than others." Kaneki gave Hide the puppy eyes and pouted.

"Hide~. I said I was sorry." He swing his arms around Hide's neck and pulled him close to his face.

"Do you forgive me~?" Hide turned his head to the side his face bright red.

"F-fine. I guess I can forgive you." Kaneki softly pressed his lips against Hide's who also kissed back.

"Hey! You guys can fuck after I leave ok? I don't want my first visit to be filled with you two moaning in the background." Kaneki and Hide both pulled away from each other both red in the face.

"Well my good man, the time had come for me to go back to Tokyo. After you left I was in charge of training the new intern to take up your shift."

"I'm really sorry about that Touka. If there's anything I can do to help I'll do it."

"Hmmmm, how about coming back to Japan?"

"Anything but that."

"Aww, well it was worth a shot. Well, I gotta go. See you around eyepatch." Touka smirked as she walked away and put on her mask. Suddenly, she stopped and looked around. As if she heard something hiding from her.

Hey guys sorry for the late update. I was in the middle of making it yesterday when I fell asleep ten today I got a haircut (well half of a haircut. It's not done yet). So update was a little late.
