The Clashing of Worlds Book 1: Demigods and Ghouls

Chapter 5

So I was reading the story over again just to catch up on what I missed and I realized I left you guys and myself on a gigantic cliffhanger! And I continued to curse myself because now I want to know what happens. So I hope you enjoy this chapter as much as I enjoyed making it.

  Touka turned towards the noise.  It was coming from the bushes behind the group.  All of a sudden a small figure tumbled out and landed in front of them.  It seemed female and had short brown hair and soft brown eyes.  She looked up and gave a small silly smile.

   "Hinami!"  Touka shouted.  "What are you doing here?! You're supposed to be at Anteku making sure that lazy little shit is doing his work."  Despite Touka's advanced however, Hinami ran away from Touka and towards her previous goal.  A man with white hair.

"Onii-chan!"  Hinami jumped into Kaneki's arms so he would have no choice but to lift her in the air.
"I missed you so much!  Touka told me to stay at Anteku while she was traveling but when I heard that she was going to visit you I couldn't help myself!"  Hinami exclaimed.

"I missed you too Hinami." Kaneki hugs her tightly then sets her down. "But I think that if Touka is leaving then you should leave with her too."
"But Onii-chan~. I wanna stay with you." Hinami whined. "Touka-chan and Nishki are always fighting so I have no one to talk to. And because she's always training the new intern Touka-chan can't read to me anymore." Hinami noted sadly.

"Hinami..."Kaneki trailed off, not finishing his sentence. "I...I really want to come back. I really do. But I have some business here I need to take care of. Alright?" Kaneki kneeled down slightly so Hinami's eyes were directly lined up with his. "Tell you what. When I'm finished here, I'll come to Tokyo to visit for a couple days. How does that sound?" 

In that moment Hinami's eyes had lit up so bright that they could've been mistaken for stars.  "Sugoi! Arigatō Onii-chan!"  Hinami embraced Kaneki once more before hurrying over to Touka.

"See you later Kaneki!" Hinami and Touka both shouted from across the hill before disappearing into the crowded streets of New York. 

After the girls left Kaneki and Hide went off somewhere, either giving Kaneki a tour or Making out behind a bush; Both equally plausible, Annabeth walked up to Percy.

"Do you still not like him after watching that?  I mean, come one Percy.  He has friends and family just like we do.  Sure they may have some issues but it's not like they can do anything about it.  It's just who they are."  When Annabeth has finished speaking Percy looked out at the horizon and sighed. 

"I know...I know I'm being a little ok pretty unfair to him.(Annabeth gave him a death glare.)  It's just... I can't get the fact out of my head that he eats people.  Eats peole Annabeth."  Percy started walking towards the big house with Annabeth trailing behind him.

"One day. One day I might trust him."

Sorry this week's chapter was short.  I can only use my phone from 8:30-11-30 at the longest per day.  So I can't spend the that long writing because my parent last are always watching me.  Hope you enjoyed and I'll try to catch up on updates 😅
