Chapter 2

~Recap~
Kaneki was too emotional to keep taking.  He just kept hold of Hide tightly, as if making sure he didn't leave him again. 

"Hey, hey it's ok.  I'm here now.  And I'm never going to leave you're side again."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

                            ~Present~
Hide holds Kaneki's face a few inches away from his and wipes the tears from his face.

"Haha. You were always such a crybaby."

"I was not," Kaneki pouts, " I was just a very sensitive child."

"Yeah, yeah sure."  Of course while Kaneki and Hide were having their little moment we can't forget those people awkwardly watching them be gay together. 

Annabeth looked over at Percy with confusion.
"Even though you said he was a monster, he doesn't seem like one.  He just seems like a normal person."

"Yeah, that's the weird part.  Everything about him is normal. Except, maybe, the eyepatch." After he heard the word eyepatch Hide needed to ask Kaneki a serious question.

"Actually Kaneki, I've been meaning to ask you, will you fuck me?" (Lol jk 😂that's not what he said. Although it wish it was) I've been meaning to ask you," Hide then lowered his voice to almost a whisper. "When was the last time you ate?" Kaneki then lost his cheery aura and looked down.

"I'm fine. I eat enough to survive and that's all that matters."

"Kaneki you need to eat! I don't want you to torture yourself like this!"

"Hide you know how I feel about eating! I hate it! The fact that I have to do something like that to survive! It's horrible, I go insane just thinking about it. That why I don't eat more then I have to. I don't want to eat people just to survive, but I don't want to die either."

Kaneki then fell onto his knees with his head hanging low. Annabeth and Percy looked over curiously. Wondering what ruined their happy attitude. They walked over and were about to ask what was wrong until Kaneki interrupted.

"You know Hide, sometimes I wonder if my life would've been easier if I just died that day. I wouldn't have had to go through all of that suffering." I wouldn't have had go insane." Kaneki's eyes then went dark, his voice went low but still loud enough for everyone to hear. "I wouldn't have had to become a monster."

"Kaneki look at me! Don't you ever say shit like that ever again do you hear me?! I for one am happy that your alive and I never want to see you loose your life ever. You mean so much to me you know that? So don't even think about leaving ok?" When Kaneki looked up, his eyes had brightened slightly.

"Yeah ok. Thank you Hide."

Annabeth,realizing her mistake, looked over at Percy. Percy had his hand over his mouth and looked like he was in shock. He was muttering under his breath, barely audible to anyone within earshot. "I can't believe I called him a monster. I-I-I-"

"Percy, look at me. It's ok. You made a judgment call based off of what you knew which wasn't much. It seemed logical so I went with it too. But now you've realized your mistake. Now all that's left to do is apologize. And besides it's about time we introduced ourselves isn't it?" Percy looked over to Annabeth with a great full look in his eyes.

"Yeah, let's go wise girl."

Percy and Annabeth walked over to where Kaneki and Hide were standing.

"Ummm hi. My name's Percy and this lovely young lady is Annabeth."

"Shut up seaweed brain."

"Oh! You're the guy I ran into earlier. Sorry for that by the way. My name is Kaneki. Wait what are you doing here? In fact what am I doing here?"

"Hideyoshi, don't tell me you forgot to tell him the reason you even wanted him to come here."

"Umm hehe, it might've slipped my mind."

"Well Kaneki, have you ever ready any stories about the Greek gods?"

"Yeah I've read a few. Why?"

"Well all of those gods are real. They exist in the modern world and still have children with humans today called demigods. Like me, Percy, and, who we've now recently discovered, Hideyoshi as well. Following so far?"

"Yeah I guess. This is all a lot to take in though."

"Don't worry you'll get used to it. Anyway, we go on quests for the gods sometimes. Kind of like running errands for them but if we don't complete them the world is gonna be destroyed and all that. Still following?"

"Umm excuse me wha-"

"Good. So today we found out that you're one of the people going on one of these quests and we need you're help.  If you don't you and most likely everyone that you know will die and so will everyone at camp half-blood."  Kaneki looks between Hide and Annabeth with shock.  Kaneki gives Hide a look that says something like this.

"Is she serious."

"Yeah man, no joke."

"What the hell have you gotten me into?"

"Adventure!"

"Fuck you."

"You will later 😏."  Kaneki pinches the bridge of his nose and sighs.

"Fuck.  I'm gonna regret this.  I'm gonna regret this so much."  He looks up with determination in his eyes.

"I'm going on one condition.  Hide, don't die."
