Internship aftermath

todays meeting with Siddharth went amazing. He was so much more relaxed than what I thought. Infact he just had a normal talk with me, honestly I didn't feel worried.
However I know my parents are not keen. They hmmm weren't even happy with the application for this internship, it shocked them more when they had me for there interview. Like I understand that they are simple people and weren't happy with me at such a company. But they don't understand that this the dream, what I want to do in the future. Opportunities like this cant be missed. Mum insisted to let go of this, however it was dad who made her say yes.

When I walk in I can see mum look upset.

"Mum" I say walking up to her

She reluctantly asks me how it went

"Good, he was so much nicer than I thought," I tell her hoping that mum will feel relieved.

"Hmm what did he ask," She asks

"Just normal stuff, honesty I thought he would just ask grades and work experience but he didn't, he asked a little then he just talked to me about life, my family," I say

"Family?" Mum gasps

"Mum he isn't a criminal, why are you so tense, he said that he wanted to get to know me that's why," I tell her

She is honestly too worried about these things

"Thats unnecessary don't you think" Mum mutters peering at dad

"Yeah" Dad says looking tense

Why are they that worried

"Guys chill Siddharth is nice okay, he is gonna be my boss soon you need to stop making a fuss" I laugh
Mum peers at dad who doesn't seem impressed either
"Let's wait and see what happens if you don't get this it's okay dear," mum says
"Mum I know I will get the internship" I yell
"What will make you say that?" Dad asks suddenly tense
"Hey I'm hopeful " I laugh at their weirdness they're too tense they're nothing that they should feel threatened about.
Mean I'm prolly gonna land the work.

When I walk I hear a message my phone
The message is from Yash.
Ever since the engagement all we can think about is our marriage that yet there's a deal in place that we will only get married after we both get settled with work and stuff because once we get married it feels like we have to have kids and that stuff and Yash and I want that yet we need to pursue our career goals. That's why there's no marriage happening for a while.
Wifey call the message reads immediately I phone him
"Hubby what's up " I ask
"Nothing I was missing you" he lies
"Yash I know you don't tell me to call unless it's important to tell" I laugh
"Hey I'm talking to you cause I love you honey that's why truly " he states
"Hmm if your lying" I laugh sneakily
"Never" Yash says

While I talk to Yash Kritika walks in

No! I forgot to pick her up!

"Yash I will put the phone I will talk soon," I tell yash

He lets the call

"Honestly I forgot that I tld you to wait for me there" I mutter

"It alright" Krtika says relaxed supringly

"I always tel you not to do this" Mum says sounding angry

"She must have gotten so distracted by her interview" Dad adds

"Stop" I laugh

"Its fine honestly not a tad angry" Krtika says calmly that's spring as shes usually angry whenever I forgot like that which happens often

"How did you get here" Dad asks

"Ugh I was dropped of" Krtika stammers

"What I tell you that never catch rides from strangers" Mum yells

"Aunt there's no need he was fine" Krtika says

Suddenly I peer at mum, who looks angry knowing that it was a guy

"He?" Dad stammers

"Not like that, he saw me in the cold, offered a ride, I hesitated yet he saw how cold I was, he was a gentleman" She blushes

"Aye I know someone totally has a crush" I wink

"Hey" Dad laughs

"Guys you arent taking this seriously, he dropped me off that is it" She gushes
