Yash enters a tiny yet cosy cafe which is packed with Uni students.
To our relief, there is a empty spot beside the counter.
Yash leads me to the seats, and slumps on the chair
"So hungry" He sighs picking up the menu
I grab the drinks menu, instantly flipping to the coffee section. As you would've guessed, I am a coffee addict. Sucks that there is't a starbucks branch here.
"An expresso thanks, without sugar" I tell the waiter who scribbles down my order on a notepad
"And for you sir?" The waiter asks
"A cappuccino and a stack of waffles please, two plates" He winks looking at me
"You didn't have to" I say gushing at his sweetness
"How can I invite a beautiful girl out and not order anything for her?" He winks
"Oh stop" I blush
"So tell me a bit about you Drishti" Yash asks leaning closer
"Um, I was born and raised here. I have a sister, Kritika, the one who was texting me. We are cousin sisters, but her mm has been living with us ever since. And um, I wanna be an CEO one day" I say
"Wow. A CEO. You aim high. That's a good thing" He adds
"Yeah having my own company has always been something I have dreamt of ever since I was a little girl" I explain
"So you never wanted to be a fairy or a actress?" Yash giggles
"Well, I have to say no. My parents always wondered what was up with me" I grin
"Of course they would've! " He laughs
"What about you? Any dreams?" I ask
"In all honesty I haven't decided yet. I obviously want to do something to do with business, but I'll see where the years take me" He explains
"Correct" I say
" We are like opposites. You are very head on while I am very carefree" He smiles
"Opposites make the best pair am I right?" I say nudging him
"Exactly! Cheers to being unique and yet forming an incredible friendship" He laughs
The espresso is hot on my tongue and I blow it gently to cool the expresso down.
"You know I like woman who are focused and determined. There isn't many girls like that. Most girls can't even imagine being a CEO" He explains
"You are right. My parents weren't even happy with my career pathway, but I made it here right? That just goes to show that in order to achieve your dreams you sometimes have to break social norms" I say
"You know what Drishti, I never thought you'd be so.... What's the word. So....." He struggles finding a word
"Career oriented? " I suggest
"YES! That's the word" He says clicking his fingers
"Lemme guess, you thought I was a girly-girl who only cared about her nails and makeup right?" I laugh
"Wel, judging by the length of your nails I guess so!" He laughs pointing at my long nails which are colored beige
