newt was all thomas could think about. after the blonde, handsome boy had left the shop, thomas rambled to his best friend teresa on the phone. for about an hour, he ranted about how perfect newt and how he liked everything about him.

'resa i swear newt was sent down from heaven! he's an absolute angel oh my gosh,' thomas babbled.

'i get it tom, he sounds great. now i really have to go, brenda's nagging me for spending too much time on my phone instead of watching the movie she put on,' teresa chuckled. thomas could hear teresa's girlfriend complaining in the background.

'okie dokie, i'll leave you to it,' thomas said. after they said goodbye and hung up, the brunette realised it was time to close up the shop.

while he was locking the delicate glass door, he wondered why he couldn't just ask the blonde boy out.

because he's scared. he's terrified of rejection. see, thomas has had multiple crushes on so many of the boys in the north side but they were all homophobic. they believed that liking the same sex was a sin and you needed fixing if you're a part of the lgbtq+ community.

the brunette once asked a guy called gally out and in return, got beaten up which left him with a black eye on his tanned skin. ever since that, thomas has been afraid of even liking a boy.

but newt seemed different. at least, thomas hoped he was different. maybe the south side boy was gay, just like him.

god, thomas would do anything to be cuddled up with newt right now. maybe even watching a crappy romance movie. but no, instead he's lying in his extremely uncomfortable bed in his room. he's definitely going to get a back ache in the morning.

thomas groaned at the thought of having to work with a back ache but a smile was soon plastered his face as he realised the blonde boy may be visiting again.

so thomas fell asleep thinking about the mysterious boy called newt.

and newt fell asleep thinking about the adorable boy who worked at his favourite flower shop.

A/N- guess who updated after three months?? me! i'm so sorry for taking a huge ass break from writing, i just didn't have the motivation but now i do (thankfully) sorry this chapter is short, i just wanted to post something to let you guys know i'm okay! thank you for the support, it means the world :)
