Surprisingly, I was able to get a good night's sleep. I had to get up earlier than I usually would have because I needed to pack some my stuff to bring to my dorm at school, and get it situated before class. Thankfully my parents agreed to come with me to aid in moving my stuff (again).
"Sam, we expect you to be at school by the time we get back, and we'll call the school to make sure you got there safely too," my mom told him.
"Why would you need to do that?" Sam asked.
"Well it's a different school and a different city, so we'd just like to know you got there safely and didn't get lost on your way, or decided ditch because you're so thrilled to be there," my dad told Sam. Sam tolled his eyes at my dads remarks.
Shortly after that conversation, we were on our way to UA. Both my parents came to help and we decided to take the rental car instead of the train and walking because I was taking quite a bit of stuff. There was only one problem though, none of us knew how to get to UA by car. Mom and I had only walked and taken the train once. So essentially, we got lost. We were supposed to arrive to the school by 7:30 but we didn't actually get there until 8:00 which meant that I only had 20 minutes to get my stuff in my dorm, unpack it and get to class. I soon realized that it wasn't gonna be done in time and just hoped that Mr. Aizawa would be forgiving considering it was my first day here. I mean the man was literally in a sleeping bag yesterday, so I didn't think he'd mind too much.
"Ummmm I'm sorry I'm late to class, sir," I nervously said once I entered the classroom that I had a look at yesterday.
"I take it you're the new student Principal Nezu told me about. You're from America right?"
"Yeah, that's right."
"Go take a seat at the back. We'll discuss your quirk and hero training later."
I moved to the back and sat in a chair by a girl with brown hair and rosy cheeks. She seemed friendly so I decided to sit by her.
"Hi, I'm Ochaco Uraraka," the girl said.
"Nice to meet you, Ochaco, I'm Alexis Moran, but you can call me Alex," I smiled.
"I'm glad you're in our class. I can't wait for you to get introduced to the class and we find out what your quirk is," she told me.
For the most part it was like a normal school. We had lunch in the cafeteria and it was really good. In my past experiences school food was normally terrible but this one was a pleasant surprise. We had normal classes like math, English and art. I must have missed hero training for that day because after class, we just went to the dorms.
I never got to introduce myself to the class, so once we got back to the dorms was the perfect time because the whole class was sitting in the commons area.
"Hi! My name is Alexis Moran but I go by Alex and I'm the new student. I don't really know what to tell you about myself other than that I'm from America," it wasn't the best way to introduce myself but I'm not sure whether or not I should tell the whole story.
"Yeah. We got all that when we were in class today," the boy with spikey blonde hair said. He looked like he might have been angry so I decided it was best for me to leave him alone.
"So what is your quirk?" The girl with pink hair and skin asked. "I'm Mina by the way," she smiled.
"Well it's kinda hard to explain. It would be easier for me to show you sometime," I replied.
"I guess we'll find out tomorrow then, because Mr. Aizawa said we were doing big things tomorrow," Mina said. "Oh by the way, do you have a hero suit, because we're wearing them tomorrow," she added.
"Um no, I didn't realize I'd need one yet," I said.
"Oh that's okay, I'll take you to the development studio, I've got to make some adjustments on mine anyway," said a boy with green hair. "I'm Izuku Midoriya," he said as we were walking.
"Well, it's nice to meet you," I smiled.
As we approached the development studio I had an odd feeling about what my costume would look like. I never thought I'd get this far, so I hadn't really put much thought into it. Also what would I say if they asked me about my quirks? I had many thoughts running through my mind.
"So what are you thinking about for your costume?" Izuku asked.
"Umm well I never really thought about it. I guess I never thought I'd make it this far," I chuckled a bit.
"Don't say that," he said. "If I can be a hero, then you can too!"
"Thanks," I smiled. "But things weren't really in my favor when I was younger."
"They weren't in my favor either, but we both made it to UA, so I think that says something,"
We soon approached the development studio, where I'd soon have to make up my mind on what I wanted for my costume.
"Umm I'm a new student and I need a hero costume," I said.
"Do you have any ideas in mind?" They asked me.
"Umm I don't exactly know. I was hoping you would have some good ideas. I guess I want something that is bold and recognizable. Maybe a little retro themed too? Also I'd like it to be comfortable where I can move easily. And I'm kinda clumsy so I'd like the costume to be able to withstand some damage," I said.
"What exactly is your quirk?" They asked.
"Well I'm quick and strongish with cat like agility, and.."
"We kinda figured that. I mean you are in the hero course. But what is your actual quirk?" I was cut off.
"Oh um I have telekinesis and my body can kinda heal my wounds on its own," I got nervous as I said it.
"Okay, I think we've got a pretty good idea for you. It'll be ready by tomorrow. If you want in other changes just let us know."
Izuku has already told them about the adjustments he wanted made so we were on our way back to the dorms. I was excited to see what my costume would look like, and I was also excited that I would finally get to participate in some hero training.
