"Hikari! Wake up we're about to leave" I feel a a body lay next to me and poke at my head. Even at times like this, I can't sleep in.

"I'm up Naruto, I'm up" I sit up and rub the sleep off my eyes. I slowly got out of bed, to see Naruto smiling down at me. Excited as always, I see

"Well Naruto, I'll see you soon. Yeah? Please be careful, think smart, protect everyone. And overall, come back unharmed" I smile at him Before bringing him in for a hug. His arms tighten around me as he speaks.

"Always Hika, I'll protect those I care about. You too, be careful" he pulls away from me and begins walking out, Sensei waiting at the door way.

"Be careful Sensei. Protect Naruto for me" I bow at him and softly smile.

"You got it Hikari. Be careful as well, protect Gaara and the village" he messes my hair up more than it was.

"Yes, Kakashi Sensei" he walks away following Naruto out. Soon after Sasuke walks in, his face holds worry. At least he looks well rested, he got a good sleep. Sasuke must feel horrible, whatever it is he's thinking about it, it's straining him.

I walk over to Sasuke and pull him in close to me. He sounds shocked at first but quickly embraces me. His arms tighten around my waist.

"You'll be fine Sasuke. Nothing to worry about, if anything happens. You know how to call out for me" he nods onto my hair and holds me a bit longer. He finally pulls back and looks at me

"Be careful Sasuke" I smile at him once more, he nods and follows Kakashi and Naruto out. Im not worried much, they all know how to handle themselves. But I cant shake Sasuke's worry out of my thoughts. Whatever it is he is worried about, he needs to push it back and focus on the mission.

I walk over to my bed and lay down, only for sleep to consume me again. Finally, I can sleep in for a bit.

The sun hits my eyes, forcing me to open them. Now this was the best sleep since my coma, finally slept in past 9. I stretched my body before standing up and heading into the shower, I cleaned myself off and soon stepped out to brush my teeth and work with my hair. Right after getting dressed I stepped out the room to be greeted by some guards.

"Miss Kisaragi, please come with us. Lord Kazekage will like to speak to you"

I nod to them and follow right behind them. I wonder if Sakura already left to the hospital. I'm sure she'll be a great help there.
Upon arriving at his door, the guards knock and let me in, closing it behind me.

"Gaara, you wanted to speak to me" I step a bit closer, but not sitting down unless he lets me.

"Yes, as you will be here Protecting the village, is there anything you would like to know to get yourself more comfortable fighting?" His cold stare looks back at me, his face showing no expression.

"Yes, how many guards will be staying here?"

"30"

"If we were to get attacked where are the villagers sent?"

"To the hospital, we have refuge there"

"Very well, so at all cost. I will be protecting the hospital more than any other place. However, Gaara. You will need to go in there as well if we do get attacked"

He looks at me and places his hands infront of him. I'm really trying to read him, but he really shows no emotion

"I can fight" he states back

"I'm aware of that. But we serve to protect you Kazekage" I bow once mentioning his name to show my respects, he sighs at my response before nodding

"I told you before, call me Gaara" he leans back, and continues reading the papers in front of him

"If you excuse me Gaara, I would like to walk around the village to get around bet-" I was cut off by a loud crash. Of course my first intuition was that we were getting attacked. Gaara quickly stands up and looks out the window

"Gaara, get away from the window" I shout at him, pulling his wrist back.

Protect Gaara. That is my mission

"Gaara stay behind me" I push him behind me, if they are attacking that means they want Gaara. Why else would they do so?

"If I'm not mistaken, They're here for you Gaara. The rest of the guards will fight them off, I'll be here to fight for you if they get here" I look back at him, his eyes are wide. Finally some emotion! All I have to say is reassuring things to him?

And to my word, a rouge ninja crashes through the window.

"Lord Kazekage. Let's not make this harder than it should be. Just turn yourself in" he looks at Gaara, Gaara looks down at me.

"Beat her, and I'll go" he leans back against the wall, does he think this is a game?

"Who? Her? She's nothing but a princess" he laughs deeply before throwing his head back. I scoff at his remark, lets see how this princess beats you then.

As he was laughing, I give him a good kick on his jaw. He falls back only to stand up and growl.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

Three more of me appear, surrounding the intruder.

One of me kicks his legs back so he falls back, before falling completely the second me kicks his head up, while the other me steps hard on his head. Finally I stab a Kunai on his back.

He lays unconscious, as the other guards come in and take him away to arrest.

"You know Gaara, you got some real nerve betting me out like that" I say as my shadow clones disappear. He gives me a soft smile before sitting back down. He smiled? Finally! I really thought for a second he was wearing a mask due to how emotionless he is. I can't keep my eyes off of him, his soft smile really looks appealing.

"Hikari" he states back as his smile disappears, I guess he saw me staring.

"You should smile more Gaara. It looks good on you" and with that I walk out of his room. I meed to find Sakura, make sure she's doing fine. I get outside and jump around buildings before finding the hospital.

I walk in and get greeted by the front desk.

"How can I assist you" he politely smiles at me

"Yeah, I'm looking for Sakura Haruno" I look down to hall to see if there is any glimpse of her.

"Yeah, she's on the third floor helping the injured ones"

"Thank you" and with that I run to the third floor in search of her. Pacing down halls and bumping into people I finally spot her pink hair.

"Sakura!" I yell at her, she turns back and sighs in relief.

"Hikari" she walks towards me and hugs me, I hug her back. Im grateful she's not hurt, at all. 

"Are you okay?" She examines me for any injuries, i nod to reassure her that I'm okay

"Where's Gaara?" She looks worried "is he hurt?" I can't help but feel annoyed at how she's responding to him.

"He's fine" I simply push that conversation away "I have to get back, in case they need me again" i begin walking away waving back at her.

Sakura was just doing her job, asking if he was alright. Why the hell did I get so mad? Rather not mad but annoyed. Even if she was just asking out of curiosity, there was no reason for me to get like that.
