"Why are you even returning that damn coat?" Rick's voice asks through the earpiece in my ear. He seemed annoyed, but I'm pretty sure that it's a part of his personality.
"It seems like the right thing to do." I mumbled as I walked up the steps to what was apparently Ashton Irwin's house.
"You make no sense." His booming laugh echoed through my ear.
"Shut up and don't get inside my head like you always do." I scolded him. If anyone happened to see me right now they'd think I was crazy, I looked like I was having a conversation with myself.
"I'm just trying to keep you safe Molly."
He said for the billionth time today. "What a quaint little house."I closed my eyes and rang the doorbell.
It only took a few seconds for the shaggy haired boy to open the door."You're not the pizza guy." He frowned as he saw me standing in front of him.
"Yeah, sorry to disappoint." I mumbled as I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest. His jacket was dangling from my arms and it seemed to catch his eye.
"Molly, you came all this way to deliver my damn coat to me?" He asked as his brows knit together in confusion.
"He agrees with me." Rick huffed through my earpiece.
"Shut up." I muttered to Rick.
"Excuse me?" Ashton asked, even more confused than before. My eyes grew wide as I realized what I'd just done.
"Nothing.. And, uh, yeah I did track you down so I couldn't return this damn coat.. So, here." I rambled as I shoved it into his arms.
"Uh, thanks. You really didn't have to." He mumbled as he folded it over his arm.
Yes, yes I did have to return the stupid ass coat because if I didn't I would be reminded every single day of the fact that some cute boy did something really nice for me. It would drive me crazy, I'd have felt like I let my guard down. I don't like it when people go out of their way for me, especially boys like Ashton Irwin who seem to not even be real because they're too nice and look too perfect.
After meeting Ashton about four hours ago at CVS I honestly felt like he altered my life somehow and I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. I was starting to have feelings that I wasn't used to having, ones that I usually never allowed myself to have for safety reasons.
"Yeah I did." I nodded. I pointed behind me as I started to back up. "I should get going."
I didn't expect the next two words to come out of his mouth and I certainly didn't know how to respond to them either.
"No, stay."
