The following morning, Oliver was sitting in a fire exit, watching DEO agents and policemen take the few Cadmus survivors into custody. Would it have been only for him, they wouldn't be given the chance to be judged by a court of law.

However, in Laurel and Tommy's memory, he had stopped himself from releasing too many arrows when they weren't necessary.

"Green Arrow. ARGUS is sending a helicopter to come and get you all out of there. They said about 20 minutes"

"Roger that, Overwatch. We'll be ready" he answered.

"What was that?" asked Rene from where he sat by Dinah and Curtis

"About 20 mikes. Helo is inbound"

The three of them nodded, relaxing a little. Suddenly, a reflection came into his eyes. The object was stuck in a pile of rubble, not far away from him. He stood up, seeing Diggle arrive as he did.

"Assemble the others from Star City. We're moving out soon by air" he told him

Diggle nodded and gestured for the three others to follow him. "Man, that was though" the green archer heard Rene say as they went away, just as he kneeled in front of the reflecting object.

He still couldn't quite see what it was, with all the dust that was on it. He blew on it, and then took the dust away with his finger when it proved not enough. The object proved to be a picture of a beautiful woman will curly blond hair and mesmerizing blue eyes. He turned the picture, reading "For you to return to me"

Oliver suddenly got a knot in his throat, hoping that whoever this belonged to made it out alive. He got up and put the picture in the pocket inside of his jacket. As he was heading toward where Diggle and the others had gone, a part of the wall exploded, propelling him against a wall, effectively knocking him out.

When Oliver came though, a loud ringing was the first thing he felt. As for the not so comfortable surface on which he was laying, it informed him that he most certainly not in his apartment back in Star City.

That fact was only confirmed when he heard what sounded like Curtis' voice rumbling beside him. Sensations were slowly coming back to him, filling him with a pain he had not experienced in a very, very long time. So much so that he couldn't help himself from grunting.

"Oh my god! Guys! I think he's alive!" Mr. Terrifc's voice rang in his hears way too loud than he ever wanted anything to do so.

"Wow. What fate you have in him hoss" retorted Rene snarkily

"What? No! I-"

"Enough you two. He may be alive but anyone listening to your bickering would probably prefer not to be." Dinah cut them

"Oliver? Can you hear me?" asked Diggle's voice.

"Hmm" was all he could answer, all the while trying to open his eyes

"Good. Now take it easy. We're in ARGUS' base in National City."

"Wha-what... what happened?"

"Explosion. the fighting caused a fire to break out in a locked-down section of the sublevels of the base. It reached the armory before it was discovered. A missile exploded right where you were sitting." Diggle informed him as he held him a picture

Oliver took it, recognizing the picture he had taken in the pile of rubble. "I saw you pick it up. It seems it saved you life" said Rene

"Who is it?" asked Dinah

"I don't know..." sighed Oliver

"Well, whoever she is, her picture saved your life. Looks like you have a guardian angel" said Diggle as he and the others left him to rest

Oliver, however, couldn't tear his eyes from the picture. "My guardian angel' huh? She sure look like one... But she's not mine"
