Emiko's POV

Ray went upstairs and called Kamryn. I waited until I heard to bedroom door closed then I went upstairs behind him .

I got upstairs . I went to twist the doorknob but it was locked. I pressed my ear against the door to hear what he was saying.

" Kamryn I can't ... "
I heard him say.

" I'll try though "

What was he talking about?

I knocked on the door.
he didn't answer.
I knocked again .

He came to the door at the third knock.

"What's wrong?" he said when he opened the door.

" Nothing "
I lied .

Ray wrapped his arms around me

" I know what you're thinking Emiko . Nothing is happening okay?"

" I would never hurt you "
He said as he kissed my forehead.

I believed him.. for now.

" I know that " I said .
He still held me in his arms.
He looked me in the eyes.

" I love you. Go get some sleep , okay? "

" okay " I said as I let go of him and walked towards the bed.

I pulled the covers back and laid down on the bed.

Ray laid beside me

I fell asleep instantly in his arms.

-next morning-
I was around 7am when i woke up.
I looked beside me to see that Ray was gone.
I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I fixed my hair into a high bun. And I put on some love pink sweatpants.

I heard the people talking downstairs so I went to see who it was .

" what the hell is going on ? "
I said. I was confused . what was really going on ?

Ray come up to me .
" Oh , baby .. you're woke?"
He said.
" yes I'm woke . now what the hell is this? "
Kamryn walked in the house . she was carrying two big boxes.

" Where should I put this Ray ? "

" Here I'll take it" he said as he took the boxes out of kamryn's
hands

" Oh hey Emiko ! " Kamryn said with a fake smile as she went to get more boxes.

I walked up to Ray and pulled him by his hair.

" Explain this " I raised my eyebrow at him.

" miko, she needs help right now . she got kicked out her house because she was behind on the mortgaged. I told her she can stay here until she gets into her new place . im just trying to be a good friend . "

" Rayan you need to understand that that is her problem. I understand how you're trying to be all nice or whatever , but me and this baby is your main priority. I don't want her in my house. "

" Emiko it's only for a week , she's going to be at work most of the time so she's not going to be here when you're home. she just needs some where to sleep for a while "

" after a week she's out of here Ray , im not playing "

Kamryn walked back in the house . she had another box in her hands .

" Is everything okay ? " She asked

I rolled my eyes and walked upstairs . I grabbed my phone and texted Lauren .

[ we need to meet up , asap ]

I laid down and waiting for Lauren to text me back .
my phone vibrated.

Lauren : [ is everything okay miko? ]

I replied back .
[ yes.]

Lauren : [ don't lie to me. im on my way ]
