Chapter 31

Ray POV

next morning

i slowly moved Emiko off of me as I got out of the bed . we had to be there by 9 and it was already 8:30.

I went in the bathroom and got ready . once I was finished I sat on the bed , waiting for jacob to pull up.

my phones buzzed in my pocket
jacob [ im outside ]

I clicked the power button so my screen turned black then I stuffed my phone back in my pocket.

"aye you ready for this? " jacob said as he backed his car out of the driveway

" yep " I buckled my seat belt as we drove down the road

we finally arrived at the building a few minutes later. it was a black building made of all glass , it was dead smack in center city.

"wow.." i said examining the building as i got out the car.

" pretty sweet , right ? " Jacob said while looking at the building .

" cmon before we late ray "

i nodded and followed behind him.
we walked into the glass doors to see a huge crystal chandelier hanging on the ceiling and exotic artwork hanging on the wall.

" may i help you two? " the receptionist said in a confused voice.

"um yeah we're here for mylo"

" ah . okay just hold on for a second " she said

" mylo , you have clients waiting in the front " she spoke into a phone

a few minutes later a tall Italian man with a low buzz cut came into the room .

" yo jay , what's good " he said as he dapped jacob up

" nothing much , nothing much " he said back

"and you must be ray nice to meet you cuz " he shook my hand

" likewise " i gave him a slight smile as we shook hands .

" okay so let's get this started " he rubbed his hands and signaled for us to follow behind him.

he gave us a tour of the whole building in less than 30 minutes.

" so what yall think ? " he said rubbing his hands

I looked over at jacob
" how much ? " Jacob asked

" umm.. 20k " mylo said off the top of his head

" 20k .." i mumbled to myself

" yea . we want it . " jacob took his bag off his back and dumbed out a wad of cash on the table

" is cash acceptable ? " Jacob said.

" of course man , of course " mylo signaled for his boys to come and collect the cash .

he handed Jacob a key out of his back pocket

" here's your key . I'll get with you tonight about everything else , ight "
he dapped me and Jacob up before he walked off

" yo.. where you get all that money from jay? " I said as we walked to the car

" just a little side working that's it " he said

Emiko POV

I woke up to harsh pains in my stomach. I Sat up slowly as I rubbed my belly.
" Ray.... " I looked over to see him gone . I forgot he had that thing this morning . I tried to get out of bed but It hurt like hell. I forced myself to get up anyways because my phone was sitting on the dresser. The bed was wet when I got up . I got my phone and dialed Ray's number . No answer . I called Lauren , she answered after a few seconds .

" hello... " she sounded like she just woke up
" did I wake you? " I asked her
" no girl it's fine , I need to get my ass up anyways ." she chuckled
" is everything good ? "
" umm so like I think my water just broke - "
" WHAT! oh my gosh " Lauren yelled through the phone with excitement .
" but I kinda need you to drive me to the hospital because Ray isn't home and he isn't answering his phone either. "
" okay miko , just.. um just relax , I'll be there as soon as I can "
