Rosalind woke up with a start when her head made contact with the door of what seemed to be a carriage. She tried to sit up and push the hair out of her face when she noticed her hands still bound behind her back.

The bumpy road making her aware of her many injuries as she whimpers in pain. Her left thigh is throbbing as well as her ankle. She couldn't stand even if she wanted to. The man next to her must have noticed her small movements because he turned his head towards her.

The man snickered and grabbed Rosalind by her chin, forcing her into a sitting position. From here she could see her sister still unconscious in the seat Infront of her. Her body trembled with anger. 'How could they treat her like that she's only ten' Her eyes widened when the man holding her chin roughly pulled her to look at him.

"Listen here doll." He said with a smirk atoning his sharp facial features. She never got a good look at him during the commotion, but he wasn't wearing his hood now. He was tall and lightly built, He had ashy blonde hair, which she presumed had he dyed because she could see his natural brown roots. His piercing blue eyes staring into her emerald green ones.

He snapped his fingers in her face. "You listening sweetheart, don't wanna miss this important information." Rosalind focused back on the man and nodded slowly, she figured it'd be better for her and her sister to obey the man for now.

"We're about to stop at a merchant town, if you try anything, I'll pull out your sisters' teeth." He smiled evilly at her as Rosalind shivers. She nodded in understanding. The carriage came to an abrupt stop sending Rosalind flying forward, she hit her nose on the seat opposite of where she sat. This action caused her sister to stir.

"Prim." Rosalind whispered trying to get her sister's attention. Her sister's eyes opened wide after realizing what had happened wasn't a dream at all. Tears started to form in her eyes and Rosalind shushed her to make sure they don't anger their captors.

The man pulled her back up into a sitting position next to him. He slid out of the carriage stopping Infront of the door to address the girls before closing it.

"Alright girls here's the deal, we're going to stop into town for a few minutes to gather some supplies for the rest of our journey. If either of you try anything, there will be consequences I'm sure neither one of you will enjoy." He smiled warmly at the girls as if he didn't just threaten them.

Rosalind nodded her head in understanding and Prim just cried. They walked away from the carriage, slamming the door closed and locking it from the outside. Once Rosalind heard his boots stomp away, she sprung into action. She had been working at the ropes around her wrist ever since she woke up. She pulled her hands apart aggressively and the rope snapped.

Prim looked at her in awe as her tears finally stopped flowing. Rosalind instructed prim to turn around and she started working at the rope tied around Prim's wrists. Once free, both girls rubbed the nasty red and bloody marks where the rope held them in place.

Rosalind swiftly walked up to the carriage door and wiggled the handle. To no avail, just as she thought it was locked. Rosalind instructed her sister to back up away from the door. As hard as she could she jabbed her elbow into the exposed glass, breaking it. Once the glass is broken, she stuck her arm out the window and unlocked the door. Swinging it open she faces Prim with a finger on her lips silencing her.

Prim nodded as Rosalind grabbed her hand gently as she led her out of the carriage. Once Rosalind's feet hit the ground she swayed for a moment, trying to catch her footing. Once stable she looked around to notice the group of men returning from a nearby smiths' shop.
