Rosalind's eyes shot open at the feeling of someone touching her forehead. The touch wasn't completely unwanted as she almost found herself falling back into whoever's hand it was. Before she could do that, her eyes went feral as she pressed her back against the wall of the ship, shying away from the man in front of her. Her eyes turn into slits as she watches the man's movements like a cat.
After a minute or so of silence he spoke. "You know you're pretty tough, hiding a sprained ankle, infection and a raging fever from a bunch of scary pirates." Putting emphasis on the word scary.
She didn't answer as she was afraid her voice wouldn't come out at all. The man must have noticed her discomfort as he offered her a cup. Its contents being a strange green liquid.
She looked at him with suspicion. Finally, he spoke up after setting the cup down on the table next to her.
"It's not poisoned you know. Why would I poison you after just nursing you back to health?" He swished the liquid in front of her face, the contents spilling over the side a bit.
He frowned when she turned her nose away. "Come on, it's just jasmine tea. It'll calm you down and help soothe your throat." At this she turned her head back. Gently placing the cup in her hands, the man turned around to look through his collection of herbs, mumbling to himself.
Rosalind put the cup up to her lips and scrunched her nose as she drank the whole thing. Her throat was already starting to feel relieved. She finally got the guts to speak to the man.
"So, are you guys going to sell me too?" Tilting her head as she asked the question. The man turned around to look at her.
"Now that's not up to me, but if it was, I'd keep you on the ship. Our crew could really use a lady around." He smirked at her and winked. Before she was able to respond there was a knock on the door.
"San, are you about done with her? Hongjoong wants her to get something in her stomach before we reach Nyla." A man whose name she surprisingly remembers being Seonghwa asks the younger.
"Yeah she's free to go." San answered simply, turning back to his assortment of jars.
"Tell Hongjoong that when we stop, I'm going to need more marigold, I used the rest on her wounds." He said motioning to the girl on the bed.
Seonghwa nodded and motioned for Rosalind to follow him out onto the main deck. She noticed all the bustling as men ran around the ship. Some even yelled profanities at each other. Seonghwa must have noticed because he explained simply that it was like this every time they docked into a new port.
Seonghwa opened the door to what she assumed was the kitchen and motioned her to sit down at the long table laid in the middle of the room. He was rummaging through some cabinets when he walked back over to her and placed a piece of bread and an apple in front of her.
"Sorry it's not a lot, we plan on restocking at the town." She hums acknowledging him as she stuffs the bread into her mouth. Once she was done eating Seonghwa led her back out onto the deck. Most of the crew was huddled around each other as the captain spoke to them.
"We don't plan on being in Nyla for long. We're staying just long enough to stock up on some food and pawn some stuff." The captain addresses the crew and they all cheered in understanding.
Rosalind realized no one was watching her at this moment so she snuck off to maybe find something of use. She planned on leaving the ship once they reached land, but the problem was, she had no money and no way of knowing where she was.
