Testosterone

 Nat and I are in her room getting ready for the party tonight .  "So Tasha how's things going with Bruce ?" I ask. "Im making a move again tonight. He knows I like him and I know he likes me , he just doent trust himself enough to be with me" she says the last part sadly while touching up her make up. "What about you and Steve ?" she asks 

"Nothing's going on Tasha " I tell her slipping on my flats. 

"Oh come on Val I know you like him"

"Yea I do but I dont think he likes me back"

She laughs at me . I look at her confused and annoyed that she's laughing at me . "What?" I ask

" That boy is so into you and everyone knows it but you. " I still look at her weird . does Steve like me ? is that why i cant guess ? theres no way Steve likes me

"Natasha , Steve does not like me " I say matter of factly before applying lipstick . 

"Everyone knows you two like eachother but you two. And you look stunning. The Captain will go weak in the knees when he sees you tonight Val".

I looked at myself in the mirror and I had to admit . I looked good. My hair was curled and layed on my shoulders. I had a red dress on that had a sweetheart neckline and spegetti straps. The botton half went just below my knees and was loose . it would be a fun dress to twirl around in . The dress also had pockets so I didnt need to bring a bag with me. My make up was natural with the exception of red lipstick and sparkly eyeshadow . And for shoes I wore black flats. 

"So do you Nat . You always stun everyone with you beauty and I have to admit , sometimes you make me question my sexuality " I say slightly joking on the last part. She laughs at my satement and held her arm out for me to lock with hers . "Shall we ?" she asks . "We shall" and with that we headed for the party.

* le time skip to party *

The Avengers were scattered out across the party each doing their own thing. I found myself next to Tony and Thor listening to Rodeys story. 

"But you know the suit can take the weight , right ?  So I take the tank, fly right up to the general's place, drop it at his feet. I'm like "Boom. You looking for this ?"   Rodey tells . We all look at him expectently . I smile at him as if telling him to go on .  He looks disapointed and repeats him self  "Boom. Are you looking for.. you know why do I even talk to you guys ? Everywhere else , that story kills ."            that was the whole story

"That's the whole story ?" Thor voices the same question I had .

"Yea , it's a War Machine story.""

"Oh , it was very good and funny then . Its impressive" I say trying to make him feel better . 

"Quality save Val " he sighs before continuing. "So, no Pepper ? She's not coming ?" he asks Tony

"No" he shrugges.

"What about Jane ?  Where are the ladies , gentlemen ? " I ask almost teasing

"Oh , Ms.Potts has a company to run" Tony answers

"Yes, I'm not sure what country Jane's in. Her work on the Convergence has made her the worlds foremost astronomer " Thor brags

"And that company that Pepper runs is the largest tech conglomerate on Earth. It's pretty exciting " Tony also braggs.

"Theres even talk of Jane getting a Nobel Prize" Thor says as if its nothing

"Yea they must be busy because they would hate missing you guys get together " I say back . "Testosterone " I says pretending to cough "Excuse me , you would " I finish , walking away. 

Steves P.O.V

I walk with Sam to the upper level of the room . "Sounds like one hell of a fight. Sorry I missed it" he says. "If I had known it was gonna be a firefight . I absoulutely would have called." I tell him.

"No , no . I'm not actually sorry. I'm just trying to sound tough. Im very happy chasing cold leads on our missing's person's case with Valerie when she's not Avenging.  Avenging is your world. How are things going with Valerie anyways?" he asks

"What do you mean ?" I ask

"Dude your so in love with that girl its crazy " 

I laugh at him . I mean he's not wrong . " Maybe but I dont know how she feels " I say looking down at her from above. She's standing with Thor , Tony , and Rodey talking . She looks absolutey gorgeous and she's smiling brightly . how could i not fall for her

"Trust me . She feels the same " he said patting my back and catching where I was looking.
