So to start off fire is another way to stay alive. It keeps you warm,purifies water,keeps insects away and cooks food.
The fuel:
Remember always build a fire on bare earth.You could you kindling -thin dried twigs they get the fire burning faster. If you can't find sticks at least the width of your thumb will work instead. Also you will need tinder -dead moss,leaves or strips of bark.
Build the fire:
1.choose a good spot. Make sure it is away from brushes,grass, or low hanging branches.
2.Make a platform on the ground.
3.Place a bunch tinder on the platform.
4.Then place kindling on top of the tinder.
5.Put the main fuel around the kindling in a teepee shape.
6.Light the tinder with a magnifying glass.
(Beware zombies may be attracted to flame like moths.
Fire safety:
-Don't build a fire on dry land
-Preferably build a fire ring or existing fire ring or dig your own pit.Then circle it with rocks if possible.
-Clear at least 10 ft. diameter area and remove any grass, twigs, and leaves.
-Don't leave your fire unattended.
-To extinguish use water duhh.
-Stir the ashes and make sure everything is wet.( that's what she said lol)
-If you don't have water use dirt.
-Remember if a fire is too hot to touch its too hot to leave alone!
