Knots will come in handy for food supply. Here are some of the most common ones.
Figure-eight knot (middle right in picture)
A figure eight is the strongest knot for a non slip loop at the end. It is used mostly by mountain climbers.
Sheet bend (top left)
Use this knot to join to ropes. Especially if they are made from different materials.
Overhand knot (no picture this is a regular knot)
This is a great stopper,use this to increase your grip on the rope
Square knot (bottom left)
Use to join similar ropes so they don't slip. You can also use it for tying bandages since it lies flat.
Bowline knot (top right)
This a most used loop knot,its simple and secure. Use it to secure a rope to a tree.
Fisherman's knot (bottom right)
This knot is a strong way to join lines together. It works excellent with string,twine, and or a fishing line if you do it right.
