You may have to carry food on the road or find some where u can. In case there is a lot of food you can eat, but if you don't know if its deadly LEAVE IT ALONE!
Edible plants:
There are thousands of plants you can eat. They are all around you. Different plants grow in different places and depending in climate. I can't say much about plants but find a expert to help you. Also only eat plants that you know are safe.
Fishing:
Fish are a good source of food. If you can get yourself to a lake,river,stream etc. go fishing.
Making a fishing pole:
Are you ready to catch dinner?
1.Fishing pole from survival kit.
2.1 in. (2cm) wide open brach for pole.
3.string or thread.
4.make a line from from soaked ,braided plant stems, string, thread or twine.
5. Get the hook from your survival kit and Attach it to the string. You can also use a 1 in brach with another brach coming from it.
6.attach string to your pole
7.put live bait on hook and put it in water.
(Grubs,worms, or insects.
Eatable insects:
Most important need on the run is protein and fat. Insects have both. Bugs are good survival food ,easy to catch and quick to eat.
Birdie eggs:
Eggs are high in nutrition and easy to get. You can boil or fry them. An obvious place to look is in nest but some birds lay eggs on the ground!
(Collecting wild bird eggs is not allowed in most countries. Only do this in survival situations.)
Other eatables:
-seaweed
-crabs
-shrimp
-oysters
-purtatures (potatoes)
-eels
-berries (not all)
-nuts
-dandelion
-snails
-worms
Other choices:
Don't wanna eat bugs and stuff. Go to places you may find actual food (food is food when your hungry especially in a situation like this). But you may run into a zombie.

-convenience stores
-fast food restaurants
-houses
-schools
-vending machines (you better bust that machine down like your running in to get a flat screen on black Friday)!
