Since Sam is the early bird of the bunker he ran into his pranks before the other two even got up. His pranks were the hardest to set up because I didn't "magic" any of it into place. I did have to use to my mojo to cover up my progress on my main prank on Sam. I'd started preparing for this weeks ago. I'd printed thousands of pictures of my face so I could cover Sam's entire room with them. It was hard to find time to put them up without being noticed. At first I tried sneaking in during the day, but people are constantly moving around and it felt too risky. I'm surprisingly light in my feet when I need to be and San sleeps with his door open, so I figured that sneaking in at night would be better.
It would have been embarrassing as hell if Sam has caught me, but it was less terrifying than the thought of Dean chewing me out. Lucky for me, I was able too set it all up without a hitch. Obviously there were some close calls, but I remained undetected.
Even though my main prank was in place I still had to set up a slightly more minor prank on Sam. I decided that I wanted to do the cling wrap in the door way prank.
The night before the first I gathered my supplies and got to work setting it up in his doorway. I instantly ran into a problem though. I was too short to get it set up at the proper height. Usually when I'm to short for something, I pester Sam until he helps me. That wouldn't happen this time though. I ended up settling for doing it at Sam's chest level because I was too lazy too come up with a better solution.
I knew that Sam would get up early, so I grabbed a blanket and a couple of pillows to camp out outside his room so I wouldn't miss his reaction. The back pain was totally worth it!
At six in the morning, Sam woke me by yelling, "What the fu...GABRIEL!"
From the hallway, I yelled back, "Come and get me tall guy." Not my most original insult, but I was about 25% wake so it wasn't that bad.
"Gabriel! You are so gonna gah!" Sam said as he sprinted toward the hallway. He fell right into my trap which caused him to face-plant into my lap. It took a second for Sam to realize where he'd landed, Sam sprung into push-up position.
"Good morning to you too, Samshine, but would you mind buying me dinner first?" I said before I burst out laughing from the mortified look on Sam's face. He started muttering about how sorry he was while slowly inching away from me. "No need to apologize. That was even funnier than I was planning on it being so I'm happy." I didn't say it out loud by I was also happy that he'd been so close to me. I still had butterflies fluttering around in my stomach, but I tried not to let them show through in my expression. There's no way that's he'd feel the same, but that didn't stop me from have feelings. Sam still had stopped talking to himself so I told him to get up and come with me to the kitchen so we could get breakfast started.
Sam followed me obediently to the kitchen, but just stood in the doorway while I started gathering the ingredients for omelettes.
"Whatcha thinking about?" I asked, cracking the first egg into the bowl.
"I'm thinking about how embarrassing that was and how Dean will never let me live it down if he finds out."
"Stop worrying. I promise, Sammy, your epic fail is safe with me," I giggled. "Now come here and help me out." While we worked he asked about how I'd put up all the pictures and I told him that a good prankster never reveals their secrets, but they do help undo their damage. He declined the offer and said and this is an exact quote, "You know what? I might just leave them up for a bit. I'd hate to ruin all your hard work so soon and there are worse things than looking at your face."
I was speechless. It may have been backhanded, but it was still a compliment. I could feel myself starting to go red, but Sam didn't notice because Castiel has just walked in.
