Hoseok was hanging out with his friends, Namjoon and Yoongi, the three of them at a bar enjoying each other's company. Yoongi was working as an up and coming producer, helping out with a few small companies that were debuting rookie idols. Namjoon was still in school, studying to be a professor at the local university due to his incredible intelligence. Laughter and chatter swarmed the trio at their table as Yoongi was sharing a story from one of the producer parties. He was talking about different people that he had met and experiences he had, and his delivery of the information had the other boys in stitches. As the three were relaxing, Hoseok felt his phone vibrate.

"Oh, hold on, guys." He said, pulling out his phone. He saw your photo show up on his screen, and he smiled a bit. "I need to take this."

"Is this your girlfriend?" Namjoon asked playfully, leaning forward to take a peek.

"I think you mean ex-girlfriend girlfriend." Yoongi hummed, sipping his drink as he too leaned forward to see who it was. "Aaah, I was right. She looks exactly the same." Hoseok hid his phone, pouting at his friends.

"I'll be right back." He huffed playfully, getting up and excusing himself. He hurried outside of the bar, where there were few people around. Pressing the red accept button, he pressed the phone to his ear. "Hello?" He hummed, putting his hand in his pocket. He was waiting for a response, but what he didn't expect was the sound of you blubbering something, an attempt to communicate with him before just collapsing into muffled sobs onto the phone. "Wha- hey! What's wrong?" You continued to sob, almost as if he wasn't there. He tried calling your name a few times to get your attention, and after the third try, it worked.

"A-are.... are you busy?" He heard you choke out between sobs.

"What's wrong?" He asked again. When he heard you sniffle and attempt to gasp for air, he glanced over his shoulder. He saw Namjoon and Yoongi inside, still chatting and drinking their beers. He had been there for a while already, and it sounded like you needed him now more than ever. "I'm out with some friends, so I may be a little late but I can come." He said. He heard you gasp, and a hiccup escaped your lips.

"Oh my God, I'm sorry." You said shakily. "I didn't want to bother you. I-I'll call Nayeon. Please, don't worry about me."

"I can't do that if you called me in tears and you know that." He heard you slowly begin to relax, your sobs turning into soft whimpers and hiccups of tears. "Give me a few minutes and I can come by." He said.

"I don't want you to cancel your plans.... for me. That's not faaaaairrrrr...." He heard you begin to sob again. Hoseok let out a deep sigh, trying to think of what to do. Glancing back at his friends once more, he knew if he didn't go help you out, he would regret it the rest of his life.

"I'll be over soon." He said quickly. You tried to protest, but he wouldn't have it. "No, no. I'm coming over. I can't let you sit in your apartment alone sobbing. Just relax, take some deep breaths, I'm on my way. Okay?" With you confirming, he hung up and stuck his phone in his pocket. Taking a deep breath, he ran a hand through his hair and pursed his lips. "Dang it." Turning on his heel, he headed back inside.

"Hm? How'd it go?" Namjoon asked, looking up at his friend as he returned to the table. Immediately, Yoongi and Namjoon both noticed Hoseok looked a bit agitated. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah. I need to go. She called me in absolute hysterics and I don't know why. I can't leave her alone like that, her kids aren't home." He grabbed his coat and tossed some bills onto the table for his bottle. "I'm sorry guys."

"Don't worry, go." Yoongi said, playfully shooing him off. "Maybe now that bartender that was staring at you all night will give Namjoon a chance." The other boy turned to his friend with wide eyes as Hoseok laughed a bit. A small smile formed on the man's face, patting Namjoon's shoulder to indicate that he was only kidding around. "We'll catch up again soon. Go do what you have to do."
