Trigger Warning: This does have mention of death, depression, and high-stress levels.
"Alright, I think that's everything," Myung-Dae said, closing his little notepad and sticking it into his jacket pocket. You had just finished telling the police everything, and they had collected all of your test results, including external and internal body injuries. It seemed that they had enough to at least bring Weong-Bin in for questioning. "When you're feeling up to it, in the next few days, we need you to bring your girls down to our station so we can talk to them, too. Especially Min Ja, after what you've been sharing with us." Your heart was heavy at the thought of putting the girls through this, but you knew you had no choice.
"Okay..." you said softly. It was still pretty early, and you were still barely waking up. "...What'll happen to him?"
"Well, since you're pressing charges, we'll talk to him, and see what his side of the story is, but he will be facing charges for what he's done to you."
"Thank God." Taehyung said, and you as well as the cops glanced over. His hands were full of what seemed to be flowers. "It's about time."
"Tae..." you sighed, watching your brother walk over. He set the flowers on your bedside, and he turned to the cops.
"You promise he'll be going to jail?" Tae asked.
"Based on what we have? Most likely, but it depends on things like his lawyer and the outcome of his trial..." You let out a shaky breath just thinking about the trial.
"But don't worry," The female cop, Chun-Hei, said happily. "We'll be with you every step of the way."
"Okay..." you said softly. "Thank you." Myung-Dae handed you a small card. As you took it, you saw it was his business card.
"Call if you need anything, okay?" He smiled happily. You nodded, Taehyung waving them out as they took their leave. Once they were gone, your brother turned to you.
"Anyway, enough about that jackass." He teased. "Here." He pointed to the multiple flowers and little gifts. "Your coworkers sent the gift, and Mom and Dad sent the flowers." You took the flowers into your hands as Taehyung continued. "Oh, and they wanted me to share a message." He coughed into his hands. "They said, and I quote "We'll be there in the next few days, whether you like it or not.'" A chuckle escaped your lips as you set the flowers down.
"Thanks for bringing these to me, Tae." You said happily. As your eyes wandered up to the clock, you sighed. "You should be heading to work, though. If you don't leave now, you'll be late."
"But I don't mind, I-."
"Tae, go to work. They said I'll be released sometime today, anyway." You poked his chest. "Just go to work, don't spend the day in a gloomy hospital." Taehyung didn't look convinced, a small pout on his face. "See? That's a good face to take a photo of! Go, now! Before it's too late." Both of you giggled a bit, and Taehyung sighed.
"I'll come see you in the next few days then, when Mom and Dad get into town." He said.
"Alright, deal." You said. "When Mom and Dad come in, we can all get dinner. My treat." Taehyung nodded, and you stood up to give him a tight hug. He held you tightly and sighed.
"Let me know if you need anything at all, okay? And I'll be back in a heartbeat."
"I know you will." You said, patting him on the shoulder. "Have fun at work~." He nodded, smiling a bit as he grabbed his belongings and reluctantly, but finally, left the hospital room. You sighed, sitting down on the hospital bed and turning on the TV. It kept you occupied for a little while, but in the back of your mind, you began wondering what Weong-Bin was doing. Not necessarily that you cared, but you wanted to know exactly what he was doing, and what his face would look like leading up to the moment those cops busted into his life and dragged him off to jail. The idea made you feel a bit relieved, but also incredibly terrified. Just thinking of the anger surging through him made you want to take the girls and flee the country. But you couldn't, you knew that. So, for now, all you could do was watch TV and wait for your release papers.
