"Seokjin? Jungkook?" you hummed, leading your children closer to the front door. The boys that were pacing outside your apartment looked up, and grinned.
"It's about time you arrived!" Jin said. "We've been trying to call you for the last 20 minutes."
"I'm sorry, my brother invited us out to see his shoot and bought us lunch. My phone must've been off." At the mention of lunch, Jin and Jungkook's shoulders slumped. "What's wrong?" you asked curiously. It was then that you noticed the bag in Jin's hands. You also started to notice a...weird smell in the area, one that was starting to make you nauseous. You tried to ignore it, assuming that it was some other family cooking something in another apartment.
"I brought a late lunch for us all to enjoy." He said, holding it up. "But you already ate...."
"Well we can always save it for dinner." You smiled. "Come on in." You opened the door and led everyone inside. "Make yourselves at home." You said as the boys began to get comfortable, slipping off their shoes. "Min Ja, do you remember Mr. Jungkook and Mr. Jin?" you asked, glancing down at your daughter, who was slightly hiding both herself and Hyo Bin behind you.
"Uhm...I think so." She said, glancing up. You knelt down. "Are they your friends? Or Daddy's friends?" You blinked, glancing at the boys, who were smiling as they stood before you.
"They're my friends, sweetie. I work with them." Min Ja looked up.
"You've gotten big, Min Ja." Seokjin said happily. "Lemme ask you something, do you like sweet and sour pork?" Her eyes sparkled.
"Yes!"
"Well I made a whole bunch of sweet and sour pork and sides for dinner. So, I hope you guys really like it. Will you show me where the kitchen is?" Min Ja took his hand and pointed straight ahead to the room that could be seen form where they were standing.
"It's there, silly. Can't you see it?" she asked curiously, and Seokjin and Jungkook laughed. She walked him over to the kitchen, helping him open the fridge and even showing him where he should put the food until later. You stood up, dusting off your pants and scooping Hyo Bin up into your arms.
"Hyo Bin, can you say hi to Mr. Jungkook?"
"Hi, Mr. Jungkook..." she said softly. Jungkook, bunny smile plastered on his face, waved at the little girl.
"Hi, Hyo Bin. I think the last time I saw you; you were just barely walking."
"I walk really good. I'm a big girl."
"I can see that~." As Seokjin returned with Min Ja in tow, you sighed.
"You boys should've said you were stopping by at lunch. I would've made it a point to come home earlier."
"But then where's the fun of a surprise visit?" Seokjin asked. "Besides, like you said, we can have it at dinner." You sighed, setting Hyo Bin down as Min Ja looked up at the men.
"Do you want to color? Mr. Hobi just bought me a new crayon box. There's even a sharper on the back!"
"No way." Jungkook's eyes widened a bit. "I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid." Childlike innocent washed over his face. "Can I see?" Min Ja took his hand, leading him into her bedroom with Hyo Bin quickly following behind them, taking Jungkook's other hand. You sighed.
"How is everything going?" Seokjin asked curiously.
"It's going fine." You said. "Weong-Bin hasn't called me because he's in prison, but I heard he keeps trying to get leeway from some of the cops he knows." Seokjin clicked his tongue in frustration. "But the trials at the end of the month, and I just can't wait for it to be over."
