A month after John and Rebecca finished the guest room, Ron called and said he would be coming to visit and that he would be bringing the girls with him.
John and Rebecca were excited to see Ron and the girls again and that they would get to spend some time with the boys.
Rebecca: What time does your brother get in on Friday?
John: He said 3 in the afternoon. Then he will jump in a cab with the girls and come here.
Rebecca: You're not going to pick him up?
John: I offered, but he said he would just jump in a cab.
Rebecca: Ok.
Rebecca brought the food to the table so they could eat, and John put the boys in their high chairs.
John: Ron was saying the girls are excited to see the boys they can't wait to play with them.
Rebecca: It's going to be great having them here. We will have to figure out where everyone is going to sleep.
John: The girls can take the guest room, and Ron can sleep on the couch in the family room.
Rebecca: I guess that could work will he be ok sleeping on the couch?
John: He would sleep on the floor if he had too.
Rebecca just laughed at John before standing up and going into the kitchen.
When Friday rolled around, John and Rebecca were playing with the boys when there was a knock on the door.
John opened the door and saw his brother and nieces standing there.
John: Hey, guys, come on in.
Rebecca: Hey, Ron, great to see you.
Ron: It's great to see you too.
John: How was the flight?
Ron: It was fine.
Rebecca: Are you hungry, can I get you something?
Ron: We're ok.
Everyone made their way into the family room. The girls ran off to play with the twins. The boys seemed to love the girls Caleb would laugh every time Matilda made a funny face and Mason liked with Constance rolled one of his cars in front of him.
John: So we thought that the girls could take the guest room and you could sleep on the couch.
Ron: That sounds fine, I would sleep on the floor if I had to I'm just happy to be here.
Rebecca: How long do we get you guys?
Ron: Just for three days, then we have to get back because I have work and the girls have school.
John: Then we will pack as much fun as we can while you are here.
Rebecca: We are thinking of pizza for dinner; how does that sound?
Ron: Sounds great; we love pizza.
Ron: I can't believe how big they are dad said they are crawling now.
Rebecca: Yep Caleb was first, and a week later Mason, started; now they chase each other it's cute.
Ron: Wait till they start walking and running around the house.
John: I can't wait for them to get bigger so we can play catch and run around together.
Ron: You say that now but as soon as they get bigger, you'll want them to be little again.
They ordered pizza, and the girls got to play with the boys a while longer before the twins had to go to bed. Rebecca set the girls up in the guest room and put on a movie for them.
Rebecca: The girls are all settled in the guest room.
Ron: Thanks.
John handed Ron a beer, and they watched a game together on tv. Rebecca cleaned up from dinner and put away the leftover pizza.
When it got late John, and Rebecca went to bed. Rebecca made sure Ron had enough pillows and blankets before joining John.
