The next day, while Rebecca was still sleeping John, left to get her a change of clothes. Rebecca woke up and found John's chair empty.
Five minutes later, John walked into her room.
Rebecca: Hey, I woke up, and you were gone.
John: I went to get you a change of clothes, how are you feeling?
Rebecca: I'm, ok I just want to get out of here.
John: I know we will wait and see what the doctor says.
When the doctor came in, he said Rebecca was ok and that she could be released.
Rebecca changed her clothes and went with John to his mother's room.
John: Are you sure you want to stay? it's going to be a while I can take you home.
Rebecca: It's fine, I'm ok; I want to be here to support you.
John: Ok, let's go.
They walked into Sally's room, where Don and Ron were waiting. Sally handed Rebecca two baby sweaters she made.
Rebecca: These are beautiful, thank you.
They talked for a little while before the nurse came in to take her to surgery. They sat together in the waiting room, Ron, got a little restless so he went outside to get some air.
John: I'll be right back.
Rebecca: Okay.
Once John followed his brother outside, Rebecca was sitting there with Don. Rebecca sat there and rubbed her hands over her belly; Don looked over at her.
Don: How are you feeling?
Rebecca: Better, thank you.
Don got up and walked over to sit next to her.
Don: Thank you for being here.
Rebecca just took his hand in hers and smiled at him.
While they waited, Rebecca leaned against John so she would be more comfortable, John rested his hand on her belly, and they both closed their eyes.
An hour later, the doctor came into the waiting room.
Don: Guys.
Everyone stood up, waiting to hear what the doctor was going to say.The doctor told them that the surgery was a success and that they would move her into intensive care just to be on the safe side. He told them they could visit her once she was settled in her room.
Rebecca waited in the hall while John went with his brother and father to see his mom.
Don: I'll stay here with your mom you guys go home and get some rest.
Ron: I want to stay.
Don: No, you got to take Rebecca home she needs to spend a night in a real bed.
John: Are you sure?
Don: Yeah, yeah, go.
Both John and Ron left the room, John took Rebecca's hand, and they walked to the elevator.
Back at the house, John and Rebecca watched Ron play rock band with his daughters. Rebecca and John decided to call it an early night and headed upstairs.
They changed into their pj's and climbed into bed.
John: How are you feeling?
Rebecca: Honey, you don't have to keep asking.
John: I'm just worried you were just released from the hospital.
Rebecca: Hey, they said I'm fine, and the babies are fine.
John: I know I'm sorry I must be driving you crazy.
Rebecca: I'm ok just tired it's been a long day.
John: Thank you for being there today.
Rebecca: You don't need to thank me.
John: I love you.
Rebecca: I love you too.
Before they knew it, they were both fast asleep.
