Baymax

We finally pulled up to his house; it's cute a little bakery.

"I live on the top of the shop" Tadashi said.

I just nod. I am surprised how huge his house actually is. We walk inside and I see a middle aged women with short brown hair at the counter.

She looks at Tadashi, and then she looks at me and looks back at Tadashi. She suddenly has a huge grin on her face.

"OH MY GOD! Tadashi! You finally brought a girlfriend home!" She says.

"Wha--" Tadashi looks at me and looks back at her and covers his face with his hand, "No....Aunt Cass..."

"Oh don't be shy, what's your name hun?" She asks me.

"I'm Ellie Summers but--"

"Just call me Aunt Cass, you're family now Ellie!" She says smiling all big and gives me a hug.

I look at Tadashi and his face is really red. I giggle to myself because I'm glad I get to see him being the one embarrassed.

"Ellie! This isn't funny!" Tadashi snaps. Even his ear tips got a little red. He grabs my arm and starts pulling me up the stairs.

"It was nice to meet you Aunt Cass!" I say waving toward her. She smiles and waves back.

"I can't believe you didn't say anything!" He says once we're up in his room.

Or is it his room? There's two beds and only a screen to separate one from the other.

"What? I thought it was pretty funny" I say. I think about his blushing face and I start to laugh, "It was so, so funny"

"Wow. I'm glad the only time you can laugh is when you're laughing at me" he replies sarcastically.

"Do you share a room?" I ask changing the subject.

"Yeah with my little brother" He answers, "I'm actually not sure where he is right not, I swear if he's bot fighting right now--"

"Isn't that illegal!?"

"Yeah, but he's got some sort of mental problem in his head where he thinks it's okay. One day he's gonna get himself hurt, and I'm going to have to be the one to save him"

"You're a good big brother" I say, smiling kind of sadly.

He notices I think and tries to change subjects, "Alright, since I drove you all the way here, ready for my project I've been working on?"

"I mean I guess" I reply. He gives me his puppy dog face and I sarcastically say, "Yessssss!"

He rolls his eyes as if to say good enough and walks over to a red metal looking box. "Slap me" Tadashi says.

"...umm...excuse me?" Did I hear that right.

"Slap me!" He repeats, smiling.

"I don't think I feel comfortable-"

"It's fine. It's part of my project" He replies.

What the heck kind of project does he have? Masochism? Sadism? Only one way to find out.

I walk close to him and do a very light tap on his stomach. He over exaggerates his "ow" and suddenly the red box lit up for a moment. Then a white blow up robot puffs out.

"Hello. I am Baymax. Your personal healthcare companion. I heard a sign of distress when you said ow"

"Holy crud what is this thing?" I ask in wonder.

Baymax continued, "On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your pain?"

"I would have to say a one, I got slapped...lightly" Tadashi replied looking at me.

"There is not much to be done other than wait for a few moments. Here" Baymax hands Tadashi a lollipop, "Have this while you wait"

"Thanks Baymax, I'm satisfied with your care" Tadashi says, and then Baymax slowly shrivels up back into the red box he came from.

"So...umm...what just happened" I'm so confused, what the heck was that thing.

"I made a robot to be able to help people in need. I'm still figuring out the ropes and everything, but once I'm finished, Baymax is going to help a lot of people"

"And I'm needed because...?"

"Well, I don't want to limit Baymax to just help people who speak English. I want Baymax to be around the world helping everyone. And you said you know twenty languages..."

"Yeah I do, but how are we going to transfer all my knowledge of languages into him?"

"It's going to take a lot of work, but it'll be worth it" He says with a hopeful smile.

A lot of work? Is he crazy? It'll probably take YEARS to finally get Baymax to know what I know. Heck, it took ME years to know what I know.

For someone apparently so bright, I'm a little worried on what he's going with all of this.
