Chapter 9 (Every story has an end)

Hey sorry this took me months to do, i just had lots of school and COVID-19 so yeah, enjoy!

Peter's POV.

8 hours earlier

I woke up with my notifications on my phone going off. I yawned and rolled over picking up my phone, it was Mr. Stark.

Mr. Stark: Hey kid, just got back from my mission hope you can meet the new girl soon

Me: hey Mr. Stark, thanks for the heads up. I should be able to swing by later!

Mr. Stark: Hey, I told you to call me Tony.

Me: and I told you not to call me kid 😉

I knew he was sighing on the other side; I checked the time on my watch, 6:20 am. I should get up and get ready for that day. I checked my bag to make sure my spiderman suit was hidden deep in my bag, it was so I pulled off my baggy shirt replacing it with a tighter shirt with a bad science pun, geology rocks, yeah I know its dodgy. I quickly pulled on some jeans along with a hoodie and said bye to Aunt May on the way out.

Just a normal day at school so far, I met up with Ned and MJ before class and we were early for chemistry. I only got called out once, but what can you do? I walked down the halls to get to my next class and something smashed through the window. I yelped with surprise as something rolled across the floor. Other students were screaming and crying as they ran away, or they were trying the get a better look at it. I caught a glimpse of it, some weird alien thing, and rushed to the bathroom to get changed into my Spidey suit.

I fought a few alien's the get out the building and flung myself towards where the main fight seemed to be going on. I saw Mr. stark and the other Avengers in the middle of the fight, another woman was standing on top of a building, I could only assume she was the new girl. She was breath-taking with her silky black wings and silvery white hair.

"Hey Mr. stark!" I called to him, webbing up a few aliens along the way.

"Kid, what are you doing here?" he called to me as I landed next to him.

"Oh, you know, just having my school attacked and saving a few lives and now fighting with the avengers." I laughed webbing another alien to a wall, I watched it squirm before it disappeared, "Wha-?" I was completely confused, I looked around and all the avengers were looking at the girl, I started swinging towards her. She was smiling slightly; the portal thingy had closed, and everyone was safe. Well everyone was until she fell, I flung myself and caught her mid fall. Her eyes were closed, blood covered her clothes. I carefully lowered us to the ground as all the Avenger's ran over.

Steve's POV

I raced over as Peter gently placed her on the ground, he looked panicked. Tony went to calm the kid as I took Indi in my arms, her breathing was shallow, and she wasn't healing. Her shirt was drenched in her blood.

"We need to get her back and fix her." I said panicked, picking up her limp form. Bruce agreed and we hurried back to the tower.

Everyone was kicked out of the room when she was taken into surgery, none of us knew if she was going to be ok and Peter was very confused.

"So, who is the girl that everyone is extremely anxious about?" he asked nervously.

"Her name is Indi and she is part God and Demon; she is the new Avenger I was talking about the other day." Tony informed him; Peter nodded.

"How old is she?" he asked,

"Twenty-three." I stated,

"Oh. Is she going to be ok?" he asked,

"Yes, I think she is going to be just fine." Bruce answered walking out the med-bay.

"Can we see her?" I asked in anticipation,

"One at a time," he nodded.

I entered the room cautiously, closing the door behind myself. I sat on the plastic chair next to her bed, Indi's eyes were closed, and a white sheet was carefully draped over her body. I reached out for her hand lacing her cold one's in mine, I wasn't sure if she could hear me but I needed to tell her anyway.

"Hey, so... um." I started awkwardly shaking my head, I sighed and started again. "I'm not sure if you can hear me and I know I've only known you for a very short time, but I feel as if I've known you forever. I know that probably sounded cringy and I'm sure you will laugh at me when you wake up but it's true. I... um... just wanted you to know that-" I hesitated, taking another breath, "I just wanted you to know that I love you." I cupped her hand in mine and brought it to my lips kissing the top of her knuckles. She shifted slightly, groaning quietly, I held my breath waiting. Slowly she opened her eyes and looked at me with a smile,

"I love you too, you idiot." She grinned, "Did we win?"

I laughed, smiling and gently pulling her into a hug sliding my arms around her and under her wings.

"Yes, yes we did."
