Unexpected

Chapter 3

Sakura's POV.
When we reached Orochimaru's office I started to look around to take in my surroundings. It was a big room bigger than the hokage office and unexpectedly clean so I assumed it was the Otokage's office. It had a large desk and a chair behind the desk consists of some papers and scrolls. Behind the desk and chair there were bookshelves that had different medical books on it which picked my interest to say so. On the left side of the room was a glass slider door that I assume  leads to the balcony and there he was standing in all his glory, the person that I hate the most that snake. He was standing right infront of the balcony doors and I looked at him with narrowed eyes.
"Ah Sakura-San thank you for joining us on this fine evening" said Orochimaru.
" I don't think I had much of a choice did I" I replied sarcastically.
"Oh I am really sorry if you feel that i am burdening you" he said yet again.
To which i snorted and replied "get to the point and tell me why did you send Kabuto to bring me here"
"Impatient are we no Sakura-san" he said.
"Orochimaru I don't have much of a patience you know so get to the point before I land a chakra infused punch on you" I said getting impatient.
"Alright as you say then I will get directly to the point...I want you to take the mantle of Otokage" he said.
I looked at him for a moment and blinked once, twice before I started laughing and asked him "are you insane".
He just shrugged and said "some say that I am insane however I am pretty serious right now".
I looked at him for a while and said "why would I take the mantle of Otokage and leave everything I had back in leaf".
"Oh I don't know...maybe because you don't get enough recognition over there" he said looking at me.
To which I narrowed my eyes and said "I get enough recognition I am fifth hokage's disciple".
"Ah, yes you are fifth hokage disciple...however is that the recognition for what you have done and achieved or is it the recognition for being the fifth hokage's disciple" he said.
To which I snorted before replying "Orochimaru, I do not come from any prestigious clan I come from a civilian family nothing was given to me in the silver platter. I worked very hard to get where I am now".
"Yes, you have worked very hard. I am a witness to your hardwork as I saw train with princess and do self training at night and give your everything in any missions that you went on....after all I have been keeping tabs on you since chunnin exams which gives me more of a reason to believe that you will prove to be the best Otokage that will do everything to make this village to rise to a whole new level...this village needs help Sakura-San and only you can help it" said Orochimaru.
I looked at him while thinking about what to do.
Before I could say anything Orochimaru spoke " I know you are thinking that I am a criminal and all...but it is not true".
I was about to argue with him but he beat me to it and said yet again " I know you are thinking that I am lying but I am not. Yes, I   admit that I was doing experiments but I never wanted to do it. I was forced to do it".
I was shocked with the new revelations and decided to ask "who?"
He looked puzzled so i asked again " who asked you to do it then?"
He looked at me in the eye  for a while then sighed and said "it was Danzo and the elders".
