Chapter 21: Stain

Your POV

Patrol is a nice change of pace. No fighting, no work, just walking around until you see someone committing a crime.

"So, tell me about yourself kid. We are going to be together for a while after all." Ryukyu says.
"Let's see. I am Y/n L/n, I am 14 years old, I like developing techniques, using those techniques and training. I dislike some people. My goal is to become one of the strongest people ever." I say.
"That's quite a list. And the techniques you showcased at the Sports Festival were your creations ?" She asks
"Some of them I created, some I learned." I say.
"Well you can't use your more dangerous attacks since most villains we encounter decide to use civilians as hostages or to escape." She says.

At that moment, a villain runs out a shop with a cash register in his hands.

"Someone stop him !" The owner of the shop says.

I run after the guy but he proves to be slippery. He runs through crowds, causing me to almost lose him. When I almost caught him, a blast suddenly hits me. I get up and see that he gets in a van. The van drives off so I have to improvise. I decide to teleport onto the roof of the van. Landing on it, I stab my sword into the roof to keep me from flying away.

"That fucking hero is on the roof. Deal with him." The man says.

A female climbs onto the roof.

"Hey, can you get off ?" She asks while balancing herself.
"No, I'm afraid not." I reply.
"Well, at least I tried." She says before kicking me in the chest.

I almost fall of the car if I didn't manage to catch the ledge of the car. The female tries to stomp on my hand but I zap her, causing her to stagger back. I hoist myself back onto the van. I tackle her and we both start to roll around. We both punch each other a few times until the driver suddenly brakes. We both fly off the roof and land harshly on the ground. I look up with a painful groan and see the police surrounding us. They put the 2 villains into cuffs and put them into their cars. Ryukyu looks at me.

"Are you ok ?" She asks.
"Never felt better." I say sarcastically.

She hoist me up and inspects me for any noticeable injuries. I drink a healing potion and instantly feel a lot better. We both continue with patrol until we stopped for the day.

A few days later

We were once again patrolling around the city until I saw Iida walking around with Normal Hero.

"Yo, Iida." I say while walking over to him.
"L/n-kun, what are you doing here ?" He asks.
"I chose Ryukyu's agency for my internship so I am staying here. Before I forget, can I speak to you privately ?" I say.

We move to a more secluded place before I look at him.

"Tell me Iida, is there a reason you chose to be here ? A reason like the Hero Killer." I say straight to the point.
"What ?" He asks shocked.
"I heard what happened and know what your plan is Iida. You want revenge for your brother. But I recommend you don't get yourself in involved with the Hero Killer." I say.
"What do you want me to do then ? He crippled my brother and killed other heroes. He needs to be stopped." He says while clenching his fists.
"I feel your pain, but do you want to end up like your brother ? Because if you let your feelings get in the way, you might end up worse than him." I say before leaving.

Me and Ryukyu do some more patrolling until it turned dark.

"It's getting late, why don't we stop for today. You must be beat." She says.
"Yeah, that... wait, what's that ?" I say while pointing to a large smoke cloud.
We run towards the smoke and see multiple Nomus. I was about to use lightning to attack them but my phone suddenly rings. Looking at the message, I see that Izuku sent me coordinates. I look at the location and it seems it isn't far away. I sprint to her location. She wouldn't send something pointless at a time like this.
I reach the alley to see her fighting the Hero Killer Stain with Iida and another hero unmoving. He tries to stab her but I throw one of my throwing axes at him. He deflects it and jumps back.
