Chapter One

*Kaitlyn's POV*

"Kaitlyn!", my mother shouted as if I was deaf. "Wake up you're going to miss your flight to California!"

I rubbed my eyes and stretched and leaned over to check my iPhone only to find out that today was finally the day I've been waiting for basically, my entire life, but with an irritated feeling that usually comes to me a lot when my mom says 'California'. Not that there is anything wrong with that state but according to the fandom I'm in, it's necessarily called 'Cali'. Stupid right? Haha, wrong. I actually kinda like that name. But the real question is, why did my mom even mention all of that in the first place? Well let's just say, I'm in LOVE with this band called R5 and I'm going to meet them at their very first concert for their West Coast Tour. I would wait 'till they head to New Jersey for their East Coast Tour in the future, but by knowing me, I couldn't wait. And the fandom I'm in you ask? The #R5Family. "We're not just a fandom, but we're a family :)♥" is probably like the motto of it. I'm actually pretty happy to be apart of this 'family' especially everyone that's in it. Most of the people on twitter that I talk to daily are pretty nice and in fact, I love them all! They're pretty much my second family. Well time to get dressed then get down to eat breakfast before Sam and Riann arrive so my mom could drive all of us to the airport, and yes if you're wondering, we are going all by ourselves which is going to be extremely fun! Yeah, I don't know how my mom trusts me either, but I'm so glad she actually let me be a grown up for once. "Finally", I say to myself as a sign of relief. I'm 16 and I'm pretty sure I can handle a one way flight to California. And it's not like I'm going to be alone or anything. I'm with my closest friends for god sakes! I jump and shake as I put on my skinny jeans and tried to hurry and find a shirt to wear as soon as possible before Sam calls and starts screaming at me, along with Riann. Oh and if you're wondering if my two, crazy, bestfriends are R5ers too, then you are darn right! Sam LOVES Ross, but she's not a rossian though. And if you're starting to ask what and who a rossian even is, let me tell you a short little description about them. Rossians are basically girls who love and care about only Ross, but not the whole band. Oh how stupid am I, I forgot to mention who's even in the band! Well the amazing people that I absolutely love are these wonderful siblings known as Ross, Riker, Rydel, Ratliff, and last but not least, my favorite of all, Rocky! Ross is pretty much known for playing the role of 'Austin Moon' on the show 'Austin and Ally'. So that explains why he's the most famous one out of the band and why most girls love him a lot and probably why he has 200k+ followers on twitter. Oh twitter. Well back to the band, Riker plays the role of 'Jeff' The Warbler on 'Glee' so he's the second most famous one for that out of the band. Rydel, however, is the only girl in the entire band. Haha, I sure feel pretty bad for her since she has to deal with these crazy boys but you gotta love them anyways! Ratliff is not related to them though. His real name is Ellington and his last name is Ratliff but he's the drummer for the band so he used his last name to fit in with the name. He's in love with mustaches just saying! And finally, Rocky.

"Rocky, oh Rocky", I begin to whisper in my head to think of how I'm going to start off with talking about him because honestly, that guy is so amazing, that I could write an entire novel explaining my love for him. But yeah, let's just say he's everything you'd want to see in a guy. He's like the total package if you ask me. Amazing, charming, sweet, funny, and the fact that he thinks he's sexy is bizarre, but don't get me wrong, he actually is.

All of them are single (well for now) except for Ratliff, who has a girlfriend, Kelly. Kelly Voosen. The amazing and perfect, Kelly Voosen. Her and Ratliff actually make a good couple which makes me happy because they're so cute together that it's just too cute to think about to explain. But back to my friends, Riann LOVES Ryland, the little brother of the family. He's like the manager of R5, so basically, he's just in for the money. I wouldn't blame him though. That boy got a heck of a good job there. And then there's me, obsessed, and in complete love with Rocky. That guy sure knows how to get a girl to love him so much, that they pretty much almost die because of how perfect he is. Which is me at times, when I see shirtless pictures of him when the official R5 account tweet those suddenly, not sure if they wanna kill us by their perfection, or probably they do if they are even aware of that yet.

I grab a old, grey, baggy, shirt from my drawer and practically speed walk to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After looking in the mirror to look at my shiny white teeth after spitting out the minty toothpaste, I rush over to my room again to grab my phone, and put my messy bed head hair into a simple ponytail and grabbed my suitcase that I packed up already yesterday night so I could save some time for when I wake up. I ran to the kitchen only to find that my mom made pancakes. Especially my favorite ones that I absolutely love the most. As I was finishing up my last bite of this delicious heaven, I got a text from of course, the one and only, Sam telling me to meet her outside. I assumed she was freaking out inside as much as me according to the way she wrote the text and everything, which I obviously didn't blame her for.

I shouted for my mom to hurry and get her butt down here this instant so we could make our plane on time. She came downstairs and grabbed her keys and we rushed on out the door to find Sam and Riann standing near the entrance which by their looks, I could tell that they were very impatient and couldn't wait much longer. We stepped into the van to hear the sweet sound of my mom starting the car and me just sitting there smiling so big. "This is it", I say to myself, my heart beating as fast as it ever could have before. "I'm finally going to meet my idols".
