A few hours later, I slowly start to dose off. My body starts to lean forward and the next thing I know, I'm on the floor, groaning in pain. Shane looks at me and starts laughing uncontrollably. "Not funny," I shout.
"It's hilarious," Shane cackles. All of a sudden, a snort comes from Shane. The laughing stops and I look at Shane in disbelief.
"You just snorted!" I start laughing, "You never snort!" (a/n: I have nothing against people laughing and snorting.
"At least my nose doesn't scrunch up," Shane says.
"At least mine does it cutely," I say. I flip my hair and walk off to the kitchen.
"Toche!" Shane shouts at me. I laugh and shake my head. I grab a bottled water from the fridge and take a sip of it. Just then, Obi comes into the kitchen.
"Hi there, Obi!" I exclaim in a higher-pitched voice as if I was talking to a baby. Obi looks at me and comes over. He rubs up against my leg and starts to pur. I smile and pick Obi up. "Aren't you just a big baby with a tough outside and a soft inside?" I ask. I look at Shane, who was still sitting on the couch. "Just like Shane," I mumble. I smile and put Obi down. He walks over to Shane and meows at him. I roll my eyes and grab my phone. I notice that I have no notifications and set it down on the counter.
"I am not soft on the inside!" Shane exclaims to me.
"What the-? How did you?" I ask walking out, "Are you a flipping cat whisperer?"
"I have my secrets," Shane says.
"Maniac," I mumble sitting down. Shane rolls his eyes as Obi walks over and lays on my lap.
At the end of the movie Homeward Bound, I look over to see Shane trying not to cry. I grab a tissue off the table. "Who's the softie?" Shane asks. I stand up and hand it to him.
"You are," I say. Shane huffs and wipes his eyes. I laugh and shake my head. "Alright, you go to bed now? Or later?" I ask.
"Later," Shane responds, "You can take my bed. I'll take the couch."
"Thanks, softie," I say.
"That's the last time you're calling me that," Shane says. I laugh and shake my head.
"Goodnight," I say in a sing-song voice.
"Night," Shane mumbles turning on another movie. I roll my eyes and climb in the bed.
"I could get used to days like this," I mumble to myself. I close my eyes and drift to a peaceful sleep.

It looks short and is a bit short, but I decided to put it in. Thank you @cicicookiemonster for helping me get an idea for this chapter. Stay safe and Rock 'N Roll Buckaroo. Please vote!
