It was a nice hall, lots of people in suits were running around, most of them probably bodyguards or I had no idea what. Directly in front of me there was that asshole of a boss I remembered from the last time. In his hand I could see the cloth. Exactly like the last time his suit fitted him perfectly. "Had bit of a hard time catching her, she was a bit defensible", the guy who lead me in chuckled with a view to the guts of his friend. While he said so the eyes of the boss were wandering over my body in a way that I really didn't like. Just a doll, it shot through my head. Defiantly I stared into his face. This time I wouldn't be the shy person looking to the ground. I would be a confident hostage now. What a sentence, a confident hostage, I had to be drunk. "Gentlemen, if you'd be so kind to show the lady her room, I'll be there in a few minutes.", the boss excused himself, when the two grabbed my arms and lead me along other halls and some stairs down. Oh great a basement, at least the right place to keep a hostage. As soon as we were out of sight of the boss the grip of the nicer guy loosened a little. Arons fingers still drilled into my arm. I would be a whole bruise when I came out of here. If I came out of here.
The first hallway had been pretty and lighted up, but the one we were in now, only included bricks. A door swung up and there was an empty room, pretty similar to the one where they kept me and John last time. It could be the same, I didn't know, last time it was dark. The ground was made of tiling and there were no windows. I got a last push from Aron and turned around, just to see how they got out and I heard the sound of a key at the other side of the door. Great. In a few minutes the boss would be here, he said so. What was he going to do with me? Nothing pretty, I was sure about that. Silently I sat down in a corner, there I couldn't be surprised by their entry. I knew he wouldn't come alone, he always had some gorillas with him.
My throat was sore, too many people had squeezed it during the last days. A drink would be nice. But I couldn't expect that. Somehow I was calm, I didn't freak out or scream or anything of those. It wouldn't help, all I could do was wait. And waiting was the biggest torture, if I only had something to distract myself, a book. I'd be thankful for some math exercises right now or school in general. But at least I had some light this time. The thing that hadn't changed was the temperature, it was still cold, now even more without John. I curled myself into a ball, knees up to my chest and my arms around them.
