My chest burned after running for an hour, throat dry from sucking in the cool air in hagged breaths. Palms supported on my knees keeping me from toppling over.
I straightened back up and headed towards the metal flask I left under the large oak tree.
I hurriedly opened the top, fumbling slightly, and tipped the sweet liquid quenching my thirst.
After taking a few large gulps and wiping the water residue off of my top lip, I turn towards the rising sun basking in its soft rays.
"The sky is much clearer here,"
A voice startled me and I swiveled around to meet red eyes.
"What?" I question.
He coughs, biting back an insult.
"Pollution made the sky kinda hazy," He says as if justifying himself.
I raise a questioning brow, not understanding what he meant by 'pollution'.
"Are you supposed to be out here, I mean you magically appear in my room and-"
"Yeah, yeah I know, just shut up," He grunts shifting his weight, clenching and unclenching his fists.
I shoot him a questioning look before sliding down against the trunk of the large oak, the small amount of residue from last night's crisp air dampened my baggy grey pants.
"So..."
Feeling the awkward silence pressing on my shoulders. I look over to the male whose eyebrows were deeply furrowed, deep in thought.
I notice the clothing he was wearing before was replaced with a white dress top similar to the Generals that are tucked loosely into dark beige breeches. Two of the top buttons were undone that left you to your imagination.
But, he still was wearing his oddly colored combat boots.
"Take a photo, it'll last longer," his voice huffed out, making me jump out of my trance.
