Chapter 5: A Diamond's light

"Has the chimaera been released per my instruction" A cold, unnerving voice said.

"Yes, my lord" A servant answered.

"Excellent, now, leave"

"As you wish, my lord" He said as he bowed with his hand on his chest, signifying as a sign of respect, and left quickly before the one he serves make rash decisions.

"Finally" The voice gripped the throne much more stronger out of excitement. The face hidden within the shadows, the overlying end of the voice's red cape almost on the floor, the hand wearing a blue ring, rests on the arm chair. The room itself was not vividly seen, as black drapes covered the windows and so any light will not shine through the room. Only the shadow and a bit of the hand and what the voice's clothes were seen.

"Finally, I can have my revenge on the humiliation you done, even if not directly"

The person looked at the only window, the only one that is not covered in drapes, shoning the moon light on the dark, damp room.

"Soon, I will finally have your son's head"

"What are we gonna do now?" Alicia asked, fear spreading all over her body as she saw the amount of monsters behind the hooded figure's back.

"Just trust me, I have a plan"

"Okay then, just give me a signal when you're ready"

"Okay" he replied to her, trying to make himself calm in front of Alicia as so the plan can succeed.

"Are you two love birds finished talking?" The hooded man asked, keeping both his arms intertwined against each other in his chest. "You know? I'm getting quite bored now, seeing you be lovey dovey and all".

"And what are you gonna do about it? Cry yourself to sleep while thinking your miserable life?" Evan said to him.

"Ahhh, that quite took a hit in the heart huh?" The hooded lady said, elbowing him the chest.

"Finally, you are- Hey are you in his side or mine"

"Don't know, hearing that burn just now, it made me think to switch sides just for a sec."

"Want me to feed you to the Octatles? I've heard there has been a downfall in their population this past few months.."

A shiver ran down the hooded lady's spine.

"Thank you for the offer, but I'll happily decline" She smiled as she waved the offer off, fearing of what might happen to her if he did give her to them.

"Ummm, what are Octacles by the way?" He whispered to Alicia.

"Octacles are monsters who has the composition of a human, has scaly, violet skin, and has four tentacles on each arm. They usually do is kidnap women or young girls. The bodies were found still intact but..."

"Don't explain further" The hooded lady said, hearing the discussion the two were having "Just trust me on this one".

"Okay, where was I" The hooded man thinked " Ah right! THIS IS WHERE IT ENDS, BOY!"

"YOU CAN'T TAKE HIM AWAY, FATHER!" Alicia shouted.

"Wa-Wait" Evan stuttered "He's your father?"

"Well, yeah" She shyly said, her hands grasping one another to hold her anxiety.

"Actually, your adopted" The hooded man answered.

"What!?"

"Now, where was I" He rubbed his chin again while Alicia is still left in disbelief over what she just heard towards the ones she thought were her parents. "Oh yeah, KILL THEM, MY BEASTS!". The beasts behind his back then charged forward, wanting and craving to eat the boy and girl for quite sometime.
