Two years after the incident...

"Seems like you've gotten better" Marco said, dodging Evan's attack over and over while Evan treid to slash him with his iron sword with everything he could muster. Marco kicked him in the chest, only to be parried by letting the sword's edge hit his shoe and launched a counterattack by the opening on his side.

"Good" he retaliated by using the remaining foot to kick him by the head, only to be blocked by his arm.

"You think that will work on me?" Evan said, as he pushed the foot away and distanced himself. Marco also distanced himself to the nearby forest and waited for him to attack.

He grabbed the bow from his back and shot five arrows towards Marco. But, he caught them easily using the spaces from his fingers and the last one with his other hand.

"But, you're still too...." He blocked the sword attack from his back and maintained hold.

"I see you've actually trained your dark power pretty well" He pushed the sword back, making Evan jump away from him.

"I can't let you know every trick on my sleeves now? Can I?" He said, throwing the bow away and summoning three mini spears to his arsenal. Then, he raised his hands and the spears move towards Marco.

"You never manage to disappointment me kid" He said, trying to dodge the three spears coming at him from all directions possible. After that, he grabbed the spears that were flying around one by one, and manages to break it in half.

"Is that all you've got...."

"I never said I was finished" Evan now raised his hand as he was a couple of inches on top of Marco. He thought of flames circling against each other, forming a rotating sphere with the speed of wind, making it much more faster. It then materialized and he spoke.

"FIRE!" He shouted, as multiple fireballs spew out from his hand, hitting Marco in every point in his body. Evan dropped from the ground and stood up from there, trying to maintain his posture while gasping from exhaustion after using summoning three weapons and spells at that. "Did I get him" He thought to himself. The smoke slowly diminished until only the burns from the grass and black cracks from the ground were seen. His muscles stiffened as he already knew he lost as soon as he relaxed.

"The weapon expertise of the father and the magical talent of the mother" Marco said, his right hand pointing at Evan's pulse point while his other arm took Evan's left one. "If you were trained much more, you'll be a weapon capable of taking down a nation itself".

"I give up" Evan said, as he raised both of his hands, signifying the acceptance of defeat. Marco removed his right hand from his neck and released Evan's right arm. Evan panted from extreme exhaustion and immediately dropped to the ground, his muscles now being relaxed. His heartbeat beating faster that he could hear it pretty well, as his chest quickly rise and fall.

"You shouldn't really exhaust yourself much" Marco said, offering a cup of water while looking down at the exhausted form of Evan. He then sit up and accepted the offer, drinking some of its content while the remaining is used to splash onto his face to lower the heat he is experiencing from the countless sparring and training.

"Thank you" Evan said.

"By the way" Marco asked, as he drinked from its cup, and sat by Evan's side. "Where did you learn to use magic?"

"Ahh this?" Evan raised his index finger, and a little fire spew out from it. "I thought that maybe I could do it one day while I was training at the waterfall" He pointed the fire to a ripe red apple "And so I tried letting it materialize on my mind, mixing both the fire capabilities and the speed qualities of air, and raised my hand like I was hi-fiving somebody" He fired the fire bullet to the apple's stem, and while it dropped, an air cusion caught its fall, and it slowly moved forward towards Evan and grabbed it. He bite into it as soong as he got the hold of it. "And suddenly, a huge fire wave bursted through, burning the trees from its way".
