someone grabs my hand, dear lord. it's makayla, again.

"can you please let go? do you need something?" i ask taking my hand back. "you're invited to my birthday party." she says handing me a slip of paper before walking away.

i open the piece of paper, it read, 'meet me in the gym during 1st , xoxo -kayla'

no thanks.

i know what she really wants, and i'm not gonna give it to her. wow, i sound so douchey.

but wouldn't you agree if some girl tries to use you for clout? at least that's how i feel.

i throw the paper in the nearest trash bin and walk to my homeroom.

i saw the whole thing. is kai really gonna get back with makayla? the same makayla kadian that used him?

i really hope that isn't what the case is, makayla is a little..strange. i don't know how to describe it. her vibe just feels off.

whatever, i shut my locker and walk into my homeroom classroom.

i saw that roshaun was already there so i sit next to him quickly. "roshaun, i think i got some tea." i saw budging his arm.

"whatchu got?" he asked, curiosity filling his eyes.

"so get this..."

i finally finished explaining all the details on the situation. roshaun has this look of disbelief on his face.

"but, i don't know if that's what really went down, i couldn't hear them from where i was sitting." i add on picking at my finger nails.

"if this is really gonna go down, kai is a fucking idiot." roshaun continues, "because he's got his soulmate right here." he whispers winking.

my eyes widen. before i can even speak and interrupts me, "i can see your scar on your hand." he points out.

"plus, i mean it's kinda obvious, at least to me." he explains picking up his phone and looking at it.

i walk in and sit at my desk, i really don't want to talk to anybody. makayla put me in a mood.

i lay my head down on the table, pillowed by my arms.

i wonder what being held feels like..

stop, don't think like that. why am i thinking stuff like this now?

whatever.

i still have to ask around for people's scars, no matter how much i don't wanna interact with anyone.

i feel taping on my shoulder. i look up, it's ale.

mattia had roshaun and alvaro in his homeroom while i had ale. robert hangs out with us sometimes but he's in another class.

"what?" i ask rubbing my eye while sitting up.

"someone's moody." ale replies raising one eyebrow. i roll my eyes in response.

"i'm sorry, makayla put me in a bad mood. she was buggin me about my scar and trying to convince me we were gonna be soulmates." i apologize.

"she's a lil weird." he replies sighing.

"so, any luck with looking for your lOveR?" ale asks poking my arm multiple times.

i push away his arm and laugh a little.

"it's like 9 in the morning, it's too early for that bro." i answer laying my head back down.

then i feel ale grab both of my shoulders and shake them continuously.

"chill." i complain snatching my body away from him. "wake up, dumbass." he says ruffling my hair.

to be honest, i just wanna sleep, but i do need to be awake.

i groan and rest my head in my hands, this is gonna be a long day.

☁︎︎Mattia's pov + time skip to lunch☁︎︎

as the group sat at our table, we watched kai go around desperately trying to find his soulmate.

i thought it was so funny, like i'm right here buddy. but at the same time, he looks so pitiful.

roshaun nudges my arm with his elbow as i flip him off.

after a few entertaining minutes, kai comes back to the table with his head low.

he plops in the seat right next to me and lays his head on the table.

"i was sooo close. there's this one girl, but her scar in one the back of her hand." he replies, he sounds defeated.

he's such a baby.

"don't give up that easily, i can feel like you're really close to your soulmate kai..."
