"Alright ladies... first football game on Friday. Going to be awesome if we make it awesome."

Slipping off her hoodie Jada quickly sat on the wooden floors of the gym as coach gave her usual rant.

"The cheerleaders are the true stars of the show during Friday night lights so we have to make it happen." Coach explained, her accent slipping through.

A hand quickly shot up.

"Weaver?" Coach pointed.

"I just wanted to know who you'll be appointing as captain this year... just curious." The girl asked.

Grace Weaver, Gracie for fun. Blondest bubblegum blowing bitch you'll ever meet. Snakiest person in the school know as a "back stabbing whore" by some but not Jada. Gracie was too afraid of Jada to test her but she's had big balls lately.

"Jesus christ, this bitch has all the questions in the world."

Jada chuckled as she glanced over to one of her only friends, Cole Polanski. The gayest yet genuine person you'll ever meet in your lifetime. He was also a blonde bubblegum blowing bitch but he was a bad bitch.

"It makes her feel smarter leave her alone." Jada muttered elbowing Cole.

"Weaver, you'll be joining us as our captain again this year."

Jada nodded as she fumbled with the laces on her shoes. "I assume from the extensive work we did the past three weeks we all know the routine by now?"

The group of girls replied sporadically nodding their heads along with Jada. "Let's head out." Coach signaled.

"Wait, I thought football had the field today. Where are we going to practice?" Jada asked, standing with Cole.

"I guess she wants us to get in the feel of things when Friday comes around. You know?" Cole replied running a hand through his platinum hair.

Internally panicking, Jada quickly snagged her jacket on the way outside, catching up to Cole quickly.

"Holy shit you made it!"

"Yep." Masterson nodded as Cortez brought him into a hug, "Wanted to see what this offer you had was all about."

"Well, we got varsity on the field right now if you want to check them out." Cortez nodded peering over the field.

The sound of pads and skin colliding hurt his ears but Masterson was intrigued. Something to keep him occupied after school.

"So what do you need me to do?" Masterson asked running a hand through his hair swiftly.

Cortez cracked a smile before walking back over to the bench where a few players sat. "Masterson, Grady Turner, linebacker and running back, Trevon Quincy, tight end and running back, and Killian James, wise receiver and quarter back."

The boys nodded giving Masterson a shake of the hand before going back to chewing on the edge of their mouth guard.

"Great, how do you think we're gonna do on Friday?" Masterson questioned gazing out onto the field.

"Well Lake Spring is a tough school. We lost to them last year but the year before we had 'em. With the batch we have this year I'm sure we have this Friday in the bag." Cortez nodded, his jaw clenching as he chewed on a piece of gum.

"Great then I won't have a lot of work to do then." Masterson chuckled as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"True, I'm just gonna need you to look over the plays and become familiar. You know more about these positions then I do so we'll be good."
