Stepping inside, Masterson scanned the massive entryway. White marble sculpted towards the ceiling with a crystal chandelier hanging above.

He was lost for words. He'd never been in such a large home like this. It was exalted and magnificent.

"Wow." Masterson whispered to himself clutching his bag in his hand.

"You want something to drink?" Jada asked as she disappeared behind the kitchen counter.

"Oh um, water's fine thank you." Masterson smiled as he continued through the house. Family pictures and certificates scattered along the wall.

Making his way into the living room, Masterson ravished at the large leather sectional that sat in the middle of the room.

"You like it?"

Turning around, Masterson nodded as Jada entered the room, water's in hand, "I wouldn't expect a girl like you to live anything less than this."

Jada blushed as she handed him the glass, "What does that mean?"

Masterson chuckled, taking a swig of water, "It means that you're a prestigious person, I-I wouldn't picture you in anything below average."

"I'm not that... prestigious." Jada shook her head as she sipped from her water.

Masterson admired her as she brushed her hair over her shoulder. The natural lighting flooding in from the floor to ceiling windows casting a glow across her cheekbones.

"So, criminal justice." Jada started, "That's what Cole said the debate was about anyway."

"That's a pretty broad subject, a lot of topics can be brought up surrounding criminal justice." Masterson shrugged as he sat a few feet away from Jada.

"I think I remember him saying something about arguing if serial killers or pedophiles can be fixed or are redeemable people."

Masterson nodded before unzipping his bag and pulling out his laptop. Placing it on the marble coffee table, he quickly typed along the keyboard.

"So what do you think?" Masterson asked.

"Um.. I don't know I think that... pedophiles along with serial killers are people that society with can do without. There is no valid reason for those kind of people."

Masterson nodded in agreement. What she saying wasn't wrong she just wasn't answering the question. Can they be fixed?

"Okay, good start you just have to remember the topic question." He spoke.

"What question." Jada furrowed her eyebrows.

"Can they be fixed."

Jada paused, the gears in her mind turning slowly, "When you're a serial killer or a pedophile- or even both- you're born into it. Almost like a sexuality, you don't really have a choice. It's like... it's like putting a gay person in a conversion camp. If that makes sense.."

Masterson nodded, "I understand where you're coming from and you sound like you know what you're talking about."

"But..." Jada cocked an eyebrow.

"But.. you want to have sources and research. You can't go into a debate just off of opinion or feeling." Masterson suggested.

Jada nodded as she glanced down to her hands. Masterson felt his heart twitch as the sight of her fingers and her thumb picking the discolored skin.

She was getting anxious.

"H-Here, I'll help you." Pulling his laptop onto his lap, Masterson quickly typed into the search bar.
