Talk With the Troublemaker

"Hamasaki! You really didn't do your homework, again!" The teacher taps his foot in front of Hamasaki's desk. He was no doubt disappointed,

Hamasaki flashes a smile before proudly throwing her hand in the air, "I started it, but I forgot!"

The teacher pinches the bridge of his nose and takes in an exceedingly long deep breath. Hamasaki looks up at him, her eyes all light and fluffy and full of hope. Her smile insinuates thoughts of approval. To her dismay, she earns a quick smack on the head and a date with cleaning duties.

The teacher turns to look around the classroom, "Does anyone else want to join her?"

        The class stays silent.

"Let me rephrase this. Everyone raise their finished homework in the air."

Several papers go up in the air. It seems like the entire class excluding Hamasaki had done their homework. The teacher is relieved until his eyes come across a student in the back of the classroom. A girl is scribbling on a piece of paper like a madman. With a swift movement of his hand, waving for everyone to put down their papers, he strides towards her. His feet stop at the student's desk.

This student is, of course, #79.

"I'm sorry!" She says. "I was going to do it but then my head started hurting, and I was really tired and-"

The teacher cut her off. "Cleaning duties, after school, today," he says then points at Hamasaki, "You too Hamasaki."

--------------------------

After class, lunch begins. This time #79 ran to her friend's classroom. #82 sits in the middle row surrounded by students. They all mind their own business, so #82 starts to pack her stuff without any distractions. Before she gets any further, quietly #79 skips to her from behind.

        "Surprise!" she says.

#82 doesn't react in the slightest bit, and turns around with a sly smile, "You know I could hear you right."

"Huh! But I was being so quiet!" She whined.

#82's eyes fall onto #79's bento, "So we're eating lunch here?"

"Yeah, you came to my classroom yesterday," #79 confirmed.

She pulls a chair to sit in, and the two of them begin their endeavors. Before her friend can ask her about the "situation", #79 starts to rant about what happened during class. It happens out of nowhere. One second she was fine, another she was mourning and steaming at the same time.

"He's just so mean!" she cries.

"I heard he's the strictest teacher in the school," #82 says. Eyes still glued on her paper.

"Why did I have to get him in my first year of high school. I should have gotten someone nice for English."

"Just do well for the rest of the year and you'll be fine."

"I wish that was possible. English is my worst subject."

#82 rest her hand on her cheek, legs crossed. She wonders if there's anything that could lift her friend's spirits. Something positive...

A thought flashes in her head and she speaks without hesitation.

"You said Hamasaki's doing it with you right!" she says.
