Chapter 20

The week went by fairly quickly. Alex definitely changed and he seems much healthier looking. He got a haircut a few days ago and his black soft hair was now a messy but stylish kind of way. I enrolled Tristan to the near by kindergarten and Link is still helping me train the fighters for war.

Leah has been quiet but too quiet for my liking. My wolf tells me somethings up with her and we need to be extra cautious around her.

Today was now Friday and as usual the pack would gather up and prepare are bonfire just to spend more time together. We made smores and sang and just had fun.

I packed the last bag of marshmellows for the kids to roast tonight. It was almost 2:50 which means I gotta pick Tristan in about 10 minutes.

I went upstairs to fix myself up since all I've been doing is clean. I brushed my hair and tied it in a messy bun and slipped on some shorts and a loose lavender shirt that I love wearing on hot humid days. I zipped up my gladiator sandals and last but not least put on my sunglasses. I grabbed my wallet on my side table since I have a little suprise to Tristan.

The house was quiet and peaceful since eveybody was outside doing their own thing. I forgot to pick up my car keys from Alex's room since he insisted to fix the dent I caused three days ago.

I quiety opened his door and it was dark but you can still make out things thanks for wolf sights. I digged around his room when I finaly found it inside the drawer beside his bed. I shut the drawer closed and walked away only hearing the sound of clothe tearing.

I looked down and my shirt was gone! I prantically looked around trying to find anything to cover my body. The sound of footsteps coming closer towards the door alarmed me I did the first I could think of.

I jumped in his bed and covered myself in the thick comforter and was engulfed by the intoxicating scent that always had me drooling. I remained still hoping the person didn't hear me.

The sound of high heels clicking told me it wasn't Alex. A wave of relief washed through me. But then I wonder who this is.

"No alpha definitely not. Yes ofcourse! Yes I'm in his room right now gathering all the bank files of the pack." I heard a familiar voice.

"Yes well you see there's another thing that we need to do in order to finish our mission." she continued talking on the phone

"Well the alpha has a mate well a rejected one but she may get in the way and we need tk neutrilized her before she does something to ruin this whole thing." This bitch! She said a couple more words and hanged up. She closed the door and left talking to another friend about getting their nails done tomorrow.

So much questions in my head and I don't know where to start... I looked at my watch and it was 3:10 I cursed to myself and used my werewolf speed to go to my car and speed off to the school.

Me and Tristan are now siting at a picnic table licking away our icecream. He would constantly panic when some of it would leak to the sides making me laugh.

But what happened earlier won't stop repeating in my head like some broke record. We drove back home singing along to "lean on me" and laughing.

I parked my car and helped Tristan out of his car seat and he practically jumped out and headed off to his new friends from the two packs.

I locked my car and headed off to the pack house but only to stumble upon Link. I don't know what I feel anymore. Whenever I see Alex I completely forget about Link but when I'm with Link alone I feel wanted and special...

I smiled at him and gave him a peck on the cheek as we walked together to the area they we're preparin the grills and everything for the bonfire tonight.

I sighed, when did life get so confusing...
