A Star lost in Winter

Chapter 4: Look Between the Lines

Star walks out of Vislant General after a week in treatment breathing in his first real air that he so desperately desired. I should see if Winter is on his shift and apologize to him. Star calls Winter but has no reply. I guess he lost his phone or he's still mad at me. Star calls his mother and asks for a ride home. "Mum I just got out of the hospital and was wondering if you can bring my Armstrong Siddeley so I can drive home." Winter says in a tense tone."What happened Hun? Are you feeling okay? Did you break anything?" Question after question arises from his mother. "Mum I'm okay I only broke my arm but I also broke a heart also. So all I'm asking is that you can get me my car because my other car is totaled."

" Sure Hun I can do that for you. Where are you? Visilant General or Renin Hospital?"

"Vislant, And thanks Mum. I really appreciate it." Star hangs up and tries to call Winter one more time but still their isn't an answer. After an hour of waiting finally Star sees his old car cruise to a stop in front of him against the curb. His mom exits the car and runs up to him embracing him in a tight grip. The smell of her perfume is so familiar that he smiles.

" I got so worried about you when you didn't call me when i heard the news that you where in the hospital." She says with a sigh of relief.

"Mum I'm alright you should know that I'm tougher than I look. But I meant to call you as soon as possible but i wasn't allowed out of my bed to do anything except go to the bathroom." Star says with a little bit of a grudge.

"Yeah I can relate, but anyways why do you need your old car?" She says curiously.

"I broke a heart and I need to recover my mistake and make things right again. His name is Winter and he stole my heart. My ex-boyfriend Brad totally screwed up everything for him and because he kissed me forcefully right in front of him. I need to return Winters bag to him. I'm going to surprise him with a little Winter and Star time.

Star drives to Clover and Jewels Clothing Store and enters the building. Star walks up to the counter and see's that Winter is busy with another customer. He walks to he back of the store and picks out an outfit then gets in line.

"May I help you?" Winter looks up and jumps. "Star! your out of the hospital. Where's your boyfriend?" Star says in a flat tone.

" I might be looking right at him, If he would forgive me for something that I couldn't control that day."

Winter looks at Star with a blush and a hesitant smile. "I saw you kissing that other guy."

"That other guy has a name. His name is Brad and he's my ex. He's an overprotective son of a bitch that abused the crap out of me."

"Oh. I didn't know." Winter says with a smile and a flirtatious smile.

"Well, well, well what do we have here. A snitch are we?" Star voice falters as he hears that familiar voice. 

"Br-Brad! Where you following me?" Star says with a frightened voice. "somewhat you filthy slut. On to your next guy are we? hmmm... lets see is this the fourth guy that you've dated now?" He says with a smirk. 

"HEY LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Winter yells with a furious growl. 

"Oh and if I dont then what are you gonna do?" He says with a scowl

"Well what I'm going to do is take this fist and shove it into your stomach and watch you flail around."Winter says with a mock smile. "Am i supposed to be afraid of a pisspot like you? I'll make this simple and as painless as possible, Star you come with me and You pleasure me with that sweet mouth of your and leave this idiot. Or I break this dumbasses neck and take you with me, either way your coming with me." Brad says taking a step towards Star.

Winter hops over the counter and grabs Star, dragging him behind his back."Over..my...dead..body.."

Brad takes a swing at Winter hitting Wintwer straight across the nose. In return Winter kicks Brads knee out and wipes the blood away from his nose. "Is that all you got you sissy?" Winter says in outrage. Brad gets up but to only get back handed back down to the ground again. Brad whimpers in fear but knocks Winter's feet out from under him. Brad gets ontop of Winter and tries to punch him but misses by mere centimeters. Winter knees Brad in the groin and gets up as Brad rolls around in pain. "Now get out before I call the police on your stubborn ass."

Brad runs out in pain with blood on his shirt and his tail between his legs.
